You may want to know who the heck uses these Hasselblad “Lunar”, “Stellar” and the future A7 clone the “Solar”. Well, after David Lycnh a second super star got caught playing with the Lunar. It’s David Beckham! You can see the pics of him wearing the Lunar at Popsugar. By the way David….I bet you read SAR daily don’t you? 🙂

Go read every post for the last 6 months and in every one will be a comment like yours. If the admin any info I’m sure he would post it as it would generate a lot of traffic. Go buy a current 6 or 7 they are great cameras. BTW I don’t think you will get any info for a while as I’m sure the prototypes won’t even have even been developed, maybe by photokina you will see a camera.
I was under the impression that Sony was a bigger company. And for instance that one team was dealing with NEX7 successor development whilst another one was focussing on FF stuff.
Apparently I was mistaken.
I barely see the big picture.
NEX Eseries, A mount series, RX series, now Ax.
No more NEX, but still A and E mount.
I have SONY Emount lenses but unusable now for FF.
I am bit lost to be honest.
And not eager to invest on lenses that would be old fashioned in 2 years because they changed their mind in the meantime.
Why are your E mount lenses unusable? Get the A7r and they will give you the same FOV as on your current NEX in a crop mode. The resolution would be comparable as well.
$2500 to upgrade your nex to A7R & image quality is slightly less, then have added expense of FF lens costs? No thanks. A7/r are fantastic cameras, but for current e-mount owners it’s not really an option with the sensor crop. Now, if they did a similar camera with apsc 24mp, that’s a different story. After the A7 news I went straight out & bought a nex6. Now I am confident to have at least a year before I get an itch about whatever might be coming in 2014.
I don’t think its not coming soon because of resources. Probably because the current cameras are still selling well and they are able to stick to their plans.
Why are you trolling, today? Why don’t you go and take some photos instead. Might be a much better use of everyone’s time.
Think of this way:
A7 is upgrade to NEX-6 for speed and balance.
A7r is upgrade to NEX-7 for sacrifice in pursuit of IQ satisfy pixel peeper like NEX-7 used to be.
These cameras are certainly not overpriced. A7 is cheapest FF apart from D600 (which has oil problems and is replaced). Capiche?
What a tool. Saw him with an M9 in a picture too. Probably gave the camera to his kid when he found out it couldn’t autofocus.
When I saw him with an M9 I thought maybe he had an interest in photography but now that I’ve seen him with a lunatr I know that someone at a camera store took him for a chump.

Hi, maybe we have the wrong end of the stick, but just wished to clarify, the article linked to cameraconnect there isn’t tabloid or paparazzi. It’s actually a cynical look at the tabloids covering inane stories and using legendary photographers as buzz words to get interest.
