Wow great deal, only $1200 🙂
I bought the Tamron 150-600 for $1069
Is the Sigma 50-500 mm better than the Tamron SP 150-600 mm F/5-6.3, Any opinions?
No, but it’s better than sigma 150-150, strange but it’s true)
I think it is and stabilization works on the sigma for e-mount cameras.
There are no visible differences once you downsample your photo to 4mp. If you prefer larger images (which makes no sense), Sony’s 11 bit compression also levels differences between the two. Get the cheaper one!
I am going to have to wait until morning before replying because I cannot stop laughing.
How fast will be the AF on A7R and which adaptor to use?
Fast enough if you put your camera into Professional mode!
you are trying to be better than http://www.kenrockwell.com/ at the worst opinion on photographic equipment ?
I am Ren Cockwell and I am the best!
La-ea4. AF is reasonable fast.
One tip for using this on the A7r: Downsample your photos to 4mp to get rid of shutter shock induced blur!
Hardly. I’m shooting it on the A7r with great success and ultra sharp results.
blah
Tamron 150-600 is optical far superior to this Bigma.
New Sigma 150-600C is similar Tamron, but IF THERE IS A SONY-VERSION, its OS is not castrated as Tamron always does – so I’d wait for that.
