The new RX10m2 uses the same 1inch stacked sensor as the RX100m4. This means slow motion capability, resolution, 1/32.000 shutter speed and 4K capability are the same. See the full RX100m4 SAR report if you want to know more about those features. So let’s just see the differences between the RX10m2 and RX100m4:

The RX10mw uses a 24-200mm f/2.8 Zeiss lens (same as previous RX10).

AF performance of the RX10 II reaches speeds as fast as 0.09 second9. To help you capture momentary shutter opportunities without fail, the adaptable lens also provides the rapid, reliable Direct Drive Super Sonicwave Motor (SSM) for smooth and highly precise focus driving that works together with Fast Intelligent AF.

The RX10m2 records up to 14fps compared to the 16fps of the RX100m4.

Hopefully this means the RX-10 will go down in price.
You forgot to mention that the RX10 II’s 4K video mode isn’t limited to 5 minutes like the RX100 IV
Not sure why, but the RX10II 4K didn’t looks as good as the A7rII on a 4K monitor.
2 different sensors & glass maybe
Pre-order placed!
Some news of the A6100/A7000 or as be called?
We expect for 7000 with the same features as in a 7rii, or at least stacked sensor, fast AF with A mount lenses and 4k without bining.
Don’t forget the better construction (magnesium, weatherproofing), Multi-Interface shoe (XLR microphones!), the better AF engine, better battery, 3.5mm mic jack, headphone jack, better built-in flash… etc… over the RX100IV
what’s the minimum aperture on rx10ii?
That’s my question as well. F2.8 continuous published, but one of the sample pics in the rx10ii pool lists f1.8
i’m asking about the minimum aperture (f16,f22), not the maximum
Imaging resources review of the RX10 lists minimum aperture as f/16, I expect the RX10ii is the same.
you may be right, becuase it seems like they’re using the same lens design.
The RX100IV has a max aperture of f/1.8 the RX10 f/2.8. As far as minimum goes, I looked around a bit and could not find it even for the old RX10.
Let´s hope that they also fixed the quality variations according the fixed lens (which was an quite annoying problem with the first generation RX10 – At least with many of them).
How long can it record super slow mo?
2 to 4 seconds depending on the mode selected. Can be triggered before or after the event. Makes it easy to get the action. Pop ballon hit button, get it all.
Wonder how the new Exmor RS stacked sensor will perform compared to the old Exmor R in the previous RX10
