Thyoch posted this teaser which suggest the release of three new lenses. Thypoch is the first Chinese company that made an autofocus zoom lens, the 24-50mm f/2.8 FE. Back in April, Thypoch said it was also developing a new 24–70mm autofocus zoom lens, so perhaps that will be one of the three lenses announced.

The lens in the center is rumored to be an APS-C prime for the Fujifilm X mount. I have no idea what the third lens could be, although it also appears to be a zoom lens.

Venus Optics announced the new ACRIS 35mm f/2.8 1X Macro APO FE lens. You can get it for $449 at Venus Store, Amazon, BHphoto.

What makes the Laowa ACRIS 35mm f/2.8 special is its combination of a wide 35mm perspective and true 1:1 macro magnification—a pairing Laowa claims is a world first for a full-frame autofocus lens. It can capture life-size detail while retaining more of the subject’s surroundings than a traditional telephoto macro lens. It also features APO optics for minimal color fringing, an f/2.8 aperture, weather-resistant metal construction, and autofocus from 0.5m to infinity on Sony E, Nikon Z, and Canon EF cameras. Closer macro work uses manual focus assistance.

I truly love how Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki is not chasing short-term gains. He has a long term vision that feels inspiring!

Samyang has officially announced the launch of a new 28-135mm f/2.8 FE in February:

One lens. Every moment.

From wide-angle views to distant details,
the new AF 28-135mm F2.8 FE brings versatility to every shot.

• 28-135mm versatile zoom range
• Constant F2.8 aperture
• Extended reach up to 135mm

More possibilities. One all-rounder.

Coming February 2027.

Last week, I told you that Sigma would hold another lens announcement event. Now it’s official! Sigma Germany has sent out a newsletter inviting photographers to a product announcement event on October 24.

It’s unusual for Sigma to issue this kind of major public invitation. Could something truly stunning be about to be announced?

We previously heard that Sigma was working on the world’s fastest full-frame autofocus lens—possibly a 65mm f/1.1 or even f/1.0. I hope to receive more information about the new lens—or lenses—soon!

P.S. Would you buy a 65mm f/1.1 FE lens?
