I found a good article debunking the FE ‘compactness’ myth: https://photographylife.com/the-mirrorless-hype
When you figure in batteries and equivalent lenses, A7x are no lighter than D750
It does a lot of things, but not debunk the compactness of the system. Averaging the weight of nine lenses says nothing about the system being compact or not. If you want to compare compactness you have to look at specific camera and lens combinations and their sizes. When you do that you will find that FE can be compact. Not always, but it can be where the other camera cannot.
“Debunk” whatever “myths” you like, it’s a fact that my bag is lighter since moving to Sony and I get far better results with it. Fabricated scenarios with a dozen lenses and 50 batteries make you look like an idiot, not some genius come to share his wisdom with the world.
Yes the great ‘conspiracy’….LOL…
thing about mirrorless is you can go compact when you want to, just find a compact combination. it’s versatile.
The author ‘Bob Vishneski … is an avid photographer’. Well, whoopity-do!
I’m a full time pro and, myth or not, there is a world of difference between carrying a full A99 ‘wedding kit’ compared to an A7 ‘wedding kit’. When you have to lug it around for 14 hours straight, much of it standing up or bobbing up and down like a demented jack rabbit then you really understand the benefits of mirrorless.
But if you want to believe the ‘science’ of such articles, go right ahead.
Your posts say more about your lack of expertise than they do of Sony’s. Just sayin’
Why do you show the “lock on autofocus” in your custom function menu as “off”, and then turn it on afterwards?
