– 482g Weight (Including battery, media)
– Estimated retail price is around ¥ 250,000 (current RX1 price is 212,000 YEN at AmazonJP).
– Release Dates for Japan July 5
Sony RX100MII
– Sensor: 1.0 type back-illuminated ExmorR CMOS sensor, 20.2 million effective pixels
– Lens: 28-100mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar
– LCD monitor: 1.229 million dot 3.0-inch
– Full HD video
– 281g Weight (Including battery, media)
– Estimated retail price of around 75,000 yen (current RX100 price is 50,000 YEN at AmazonJP).
– Release Dates for Japan July 5
Looks like both cameras will ship very soon after the announcement! Price is about the same as the current RX models (the cameras are now discounted at AmazonJP).

I bought my RX1 in Japan and the price is the same, more or less.
I got it for 248,000 yen.
So maybe the same worldwide or the original RX1 drops in price now?

Love it. Don’t miss the NEX 7 and 24mm 1.8 I had. It is even better than my 35mm ZE with 5D2 I had.

Most interesting thing here is… Are price drops expected for RX1/RX100?
I guess I have to wait and see if some one would compare the quality between the two and the difference in prices. I hope it isn’t the idiots from Utube who don’t like Sony review the camera.
Why do I feel a stong urge to buy RX1 when I have no real need or justification? Hmmm….if it had a viewfinder or swivel screen like my Nex-7 then I think I would have one by now. Must resist…..must resist… 🙂

Why on earth have you written (2120百円) ? No one in their right mind does that (basically if you dont know, it means 2,120 one-hundred yen) You will never see that written in Japan, just as you would never see someone say “it cost me 2,120 one-hundred cents”
If you wanted to write it in japanese the long way, you should have said 21万2千円 (& im just putting this on the end in case it helps you)
