And the fact that BHphoto puts the shipment date on January(!) worries me quite a bit. If you want the camera now you may don’t buy it with that kit lens!

That ship date is for the lens alone, the NEX 6 (with the 16-50mm) ships November 14 according to B&H.

again, we see that Sony can ship camera bodies but lenses more often seem to be a problem.
If anyone has one on order – I am really keen to see how it copes with shooting 1080/60p video – for more than just a few minutes – see if Sony have made any progress with the video overheating problems
I have one in my hands. I have no any lens with me. So it’s just a black 50p with a sound. I can record 26:56 before the camera turns itself off. Turn it on after a while. It cannot recognize a memory card. I have to reinsert the card to get exact movie length.
And us who just want the 16-50mm has to wait till January? aww..
Preordered a nex5r with 16-50 kit. Guess I’ll have to wait a bit. Well, maybe not totally a bad thing… Give me more time to read reviews and lower my G.A.S.
