  1. For what it’s worth, The Sony UK site has updated the A7 page to remove the pre-order button and says it is in stock with expected delivery 21st November – 22nd November.

  2. For information : I ordered mine monday afternoon at Sony store France through Internet. It has been shipped the next day (yesterday). It announced to arrive today.

      1. Yes, I am from Poland and I skipped to buy it from Sony Poland. I ordered mine A7R at Ebay from UK, it costs 15% cheaper even with shipping costs from UK and no shipping cost from local retailer. Yesterday, after viewing last photo with A7/R and legacy lenses, I changed my order to A7. It would be cheaper too but I haven’t be told “how much” yet.

I am quite disappointed with A7R’s microlens performance at sensor edges.
        Best regards, WZ.

  3. Not sure if this fits the thread, but we had a Sony rep in our store today.
Ha have been here once before with the A7/A7r, but today he had the verticalgrip with him.
And you can spare your money on that, one of the worst I feelt ever : (

It is the Canikon style with the shutter all the way to the top, and a more narrov grip for the fingers than the normal one.
What on earth made them go away from their normal grip design alá the big Alpha cameras??? Just because Canikon has a certain design doesn´t make it good Sony…ok?

Just hope it never reaches the big cameras….. : (

  4. UK Readers. I just called Sony and the A7 (body-only) I ordered on Sunday is now in ‘outbound’ and should be delivered in 2 days.
No tracking number or anything yet but hopefully some good news for all you guys that have ordered already.

    1. Update: A7 has been shipped for delivery tomorrow, tracking number received. Fingers crossed you are all getting yours soon too.

      1. I ordered my A7 body on Amazon.fr on October 16th (the day of the announcement), and they still don’t know when they will be shipping it… It was supposed to be in stock on November 15th, then they changed it to 25th, and now it’s December 1st. You’re lucky!

  5. I’m getting mine tomorrow, ordered it directly at the sony website. Initially it would come in the second week of December but apparently they have enough units 🙂

  6. Hey everyone!

I just received an A7R from a friend who works in the photography sector of Sony UK.

I really do not wish to keep it (I am an analogue head), so I have listed it at a slightly discounted price on Gumtree (http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/sony-a7r-body-only-unopened-sealed-directly-from-sony/1039548253) if anyone is interested and based in London.

It is unopened / sealed from the factory!

Drop me a message via that link if you have any questions.
