The A7 series cameras are seeing many deals lately. And the A7 with kit lens now sells with an almost $300 rebate at [shoplink 28044 ebay]6ave on eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. And the A7r sells for $200 off at Amazon (Click here), Adorama (Click here), Bhphoto (Click here) and Sony Store (Click here). And there is also a $900 A7/A7s/A7r reward deal at Amazon US (Click here).
Despite all those deals I have no info yet about a replacement for the A7 series. The chances are higher we will simply see a new “different” line of Full Frame E-mount cameras soon 🙂

The $300 is not a rebate. This is just a 3rd party seller on ebay. Good luck if something goes wrong.
Stop posting random Ebay deals. I’m sure there’s some guy on Ebay selling an A7 for $900 too but it doesn’t mean Sony and legitimate vendors (BH, Amazon, etc..) are doing that.
Best be careful with grey market cameras. If you have a warranty issue, chances are you won’t get help from Sony….just a heads up.
I don´t get it. There is no a7 series sale at amazon, B+H…. The A7(s/r) cost more or less the same than in europe. What are you motives to spread such misinformation? Silly season?
Getting on his knees for an affiliate commission.
It’s true, it won’t be long before the A7 is cheaper than a used A900.
who cares – its affordable fullframe for everybody and thats good. theres nothing elitist to own a fullframe camera anymore and the only thing that counts is what pictures you are able to make/get out of it.
It already is. A7 can be had for about $1k with $300 adapter… A900 still goes for more.
In Australia A7 is cheaper than the NEX-7 was after two years on sale. The ‘expensive’ lenses are cheaper than the crop Zeiss lens. Heck you can buy an A7S for what the NEX-7 + Kit lens used to retail for (and we’re never heavily discounted like this).
Well, looks like I need to move to Australia. That and the fact that you have the Holden Commodore. Need I say more.
Haha well hopefully not for too much longer 😉
Part of it goes to that there are more and more used ones on sale. Mine one of them 🙂
Well, the thing is the seller has over 24k feedback and at 99%. As far as warranty, there is a year warranty on parts- 90 on labor. Are there better deals? Maybe, but instead of assuming it’s not legit just call the seller. They’ve got all the contact info. right on the ad. Random ebay deals aren’t all bad.
I buy a lot of used gear off of eBay and have only been burnt once (to the tune of over $300 – ouch!). However, I won’t make a major buy from a gray market dealer like 6ave. It’s not that 6ave isn’t honest or ethical, I’d be depending on my camera to be defect free. In most cases, this is fine because manufacturer quality control is solid. However, Murphy’s Law dictates I’ll be the 1 guy in 1,000 to get a lemon and I don’t want to get into filing a claim for a 3rd party warranty from Dewey, Cheetum & Howe.
Heck, there are often Hong Kong dealers with similar ‘deals’ all the time including international electrical adapters tossed in at no extra charge because they’re really nice guys who care so very much. ;^)
I get all my gear off evilbay. So far, no problems. I’ve spent thousands on lenses and cameras- mostly used. I even bought stuff from china ebay- zero issues. Just have to sniff out the ads and ask lots of questions.
I agree, decent deal and he is located in the US. I emailed seller and per his ad, he is not an authorized dealer, but it is the US model and it does have the 1 year warranty. I have found slightly better deals on eBay, but those sellers were either in Korea or Hong Kong. The seller also confirmed that it is not an open box and the camera and lens are brand new. I ended up ordering one, I will roll the dice and see what shows up. Looking to pick up the 55mm lens next.
1. too much.
2. and it’s a sony.. so it is time for *yet another model* 🙂
Another trolling post by the Bulgarian dipshit. Must be third world angst.
yeah, right… and you are just a dumb shmack who likes to be *whatever*. actually you like so much to be *whatever* in the *place no sun can shine* so you wont pull your head of the sand ? just be *whatever* there one more time (from sony) ? 🙂
well… have fun & enjoy 🙂
So true 🙂
I have to agree with most of the comments here. These so-called deals are often from unauthorized resellers which means you may not be able to get warranty service from Sony should you need it. In addition the prices quoted in some of these posts do not exist. For example, I clicked on the $900 rewards deal at Amazon and it’s a DSLR trade-in for a maximum of $375. Perhaps this is in another country, but I doubt it.
It’s more than 3 month now that you can buy the kit for 1425$ on e-bay, so this one seems a bit expensive, don’t you think so?
If you guys want to know what awesome is then google mutlistitch. With the A7R and a 4×5 large format field camera you can make 130MP files that will blow you away. I’m so tempted for landscape. We’re talking 1.14 gigabyte files- landscape has nowhere to hide.
Come on Sony, where is our A7s replacement.
Damn, I feel sorry for you Americans. Here in Australia, the a7 is around $800AUD body only with the cashback and once you sell the adapter.
