  1. If Sony has now no mirrors anymore, so there is no need for TS sensors. Incorporate TS in camera body — huge weight and convenience improvements. Also could be used with long teles (for peekers shooting basking girls)

    1. Lots of folks already doing this for NEX using TS adaptors, to regular 35mm SLR glass. Also helicoids for close focus. If SONY put a fullframe sensor in there, then we could use 645 glass for the purpose

        1. yes…. but using MF lens on APS-C body is kinda…. blurry…
and A-mount puts very severe restrictions on TS lenses/adaptors. Canon EF is better in that regard.

        2. Skywalker, please say where poor man can find 24 mm MF lens that would be as least as sharp as kit on 24 mm. I guess it will cost, like, fullframe NEX

          1. oh wait… because this Samyang is for FF cameras, and your poor man’s A57/A580 whatever has crop sensor, you need 16mm MF lens for that. Sure, there is FF Samyang 14/2.8 which you can put on NEX via chinese TS adaptor, but not for A-mount…

          2. What the heck you are talking about? You even tried to understand what I wrote? O_O

      1. There is a “small” problem with Chinese T&S adaptors that neither A-mount nor E-mount lenses can be used. Screw Sony!

  2. F11 sharpness is very impressive. Holds together extremely well with excellent micro contrast. Shifted foreground bokeh is a little nervous wide open, not too bad though. I’m seeing a little CA and far edge smearing at F8, but still not bad at all. Those samples seem better (sharper) than my Canon L 24TS (version one).

Nicely done Samy! And thanks for changing the focus ring to proper Alpha direction with infinity right.

  3. im on verge of buying this lense, dont know if its worth to lose almost 3 stops vs. the standar 24mm 1.4.
Just waiting for it to get dxomarked to see if im placing my money on the right spot.

  4. I’m confused as to why anyone would buy this in a-mount. It’s full manual. Nikon mount will fit any camera, including Sony, with adapter.

    Shooting tilt-shift is strangely liberating.

  5. Hey Admin

Is this lens really available for E-Mount or was that info wrong? I can’t seem to find it anywhere….
