  1. Looks like very low longitudinal CA/bokeh fringing as expected. That could be a really nice step up over the Sony lenses which have a lot of longitudinal CA.

    1. I agree, those samples are not the best. But I hope the aperture was not fully open in the example. Bokeh is a little bit nervous.

  2. The 32mm pictures look promising and the price is decent. I am still on the fence between the 12mm and the Sony 10-18mm.

    1. 10-18 is a wonderful lens. Can match Zeiss in IQ and solid built. I love it but can’t compare yet. You need a super wide zoom for sure!

      1. I m behind the 12mm becaus the 10-18mm give poor results on the Nex 7. CA, vignetting and distortion and particularly the magenta issue !

Hope the 12mm is much better

    2. I would stick with 10-18: the zoom is more flexible and 1 stop of stop difference isn’t that significant, especially with OSS on zoom lens. Although both lenses are not particularly easy to use for landscape shooting: lack of DOF scale is inexcusable, taking their price in account.

  3. Yesterday, there was a Flickr gallery with samples from the 32mm on a NEX-7 and the 12mm on a Fuji. Especially pix from the 12mm were stunning. Micro contrast at a very high level! Not a solid material to judge from, of course, but very promising. Unfortunately, the gallery was closed down after a short while.

  4. Ugh, looks like Zeiss is taking a page from Olympus and not including a lens hood with high end lenses, WTF? At $900 and $1250 respectively, a 50-cent piece of plastic should be included. All of the ZE/ZF lenses include hoods.

    1. Scratch this comment, just watched the unboxing at Fuji rumors and the lenses do include hoods.
