SAR reader Ramos sent us what could be the craziest Sony deal I have ever posted. If you buy the A77 you will get a second A77 for free! I never saw a deal like that on any camera.
One more Sony deal in Thailand: You get the LA-EA2 for free when purchasing the NEX-6 (Source Pantip).

In Hong Kong the lowest price is about HK$7400 for A77 body, which is equal Thai Baht $28330
So the deal from DP is indeed not crazy in my opinion
It is not Thai deal, it is in Philippines.
You are right, then the price looks crazy indeed
A month ago, There was a promotion in Thailand where you could get A77 + 18-135 lens for 1077 USD (32000 THB).
Is this the sign that Sony is clearing the inventory of all SLT stuffs?
LA-EA2s are given for free with nex6 purchase.. and now this…
That’s really crazy, on the other hand it’s logical when we keep in mind that there will be a new camera line early next year. So let’s make some crazy deals, sell all the older tech and win some new customers.
What are you supposed to do with 2 A77s? Eat them? Flood used market with them?
Like, giving one to your partner, children? Save money by buying together with an acquaintance, neighbour, friend?
Contrary to what the internet people might suggest, not everyone on this planet lives in solitude. I wish they’d do this kind of deal in Europe too.
Either Sony is giving vendors an incentive to clear inventory or the vendors are dumping Sony.
Not good. Really a shame because A77 and 16-50/f2.8 were excellent products.
Sony had so many great products in 2012, but they just seem to have given up instead of improving them. I can’t think of an A77,65,57 owner that did not like their camera.
I just bought an a77 for the same price as two of them a week ago 🙁
I think Only 80 units are available for purchase on that event earlier.
Then there’s also a bonus of 1 battery grip and extra battery .
That’s one heck of a deal!
Btw, $1 = Php40
Hey Sony, can we have a NEX-9 buy one get one free 😉 . Sounds good to me.
I hope this deal is still available. I can ask my brother in Manila to buy this for me. Anyone knows what DPP exclusive means?
The deal was only available on DPP’s anniversary held yesterday.
I want that too!! i was just thinkin of buying the a77! and even thinkin of buying two of them!
been there.. not really only 80 units.. the sony booth was flooded.
i saw someone buying them by the dozen (a bit exaggerated lol) maybe they plan on selling the free a77 on normal prize and poof – free a77 (with free battery grip if you bought early)
P 79,999 here is in no way cheap though. If i had the money, i’d be one of those guys in line 8am in the morning. lol
