    1. Silent shutter = rolling shutter. I’d prefer an a7r without shutter shock but it doesn’t have to be completely silent

      1. Really, these Nikon clowns are clueless. Even their “clown-in-cheif” complained that the Leica M240 too suffers from shutter-shock……..

  1. First video is just dumb, the guy should have put on the 70-200 and used that to test instead of being busy talking and showing off gear. The second video is exactly the point: taking out the micro shakes in a exact comparison, very convincing, now all ibis needs is a better camera around it 😛

    1. He tests all sorts of high tech electronic gear and regularly reports the results on his YouTube channel. So save you envy for another day Nerdo or do his job and enjoy the perks.

      1. Oh that’s so sweet you actually think gear is something to envy. Don’t worry in a few years even you will learn that every piece of desirable gear will one day just be landfill. The video is a crap test of the stabiliser, but it is very cute to know you envy that soon to be outdated junk.

          1. What are you 12? hahaha Crybaby, why don’t you come back when you can actually buy the toys you want to argue over.

          2. You do come across as jealous. I don’t know why you’d want to see a 70-200 and why that’d be a more objective test. It sounds ridiculous to me. The guy pointed out the flaw of the test and it’s better than nothing. I don’t know why you’re complaining or why you’re insulting the camera really

          3. The sony 70-200 is on the table in front of him, instead of showing it, he should have used it. A long lens is much better at showing the micro vibrations the system is suppose to take care off. Moving the camera around at 24mm is pointless. Jealous I have the same lenses? hehehe, it’s always fun to see how much people read their own sh!+ into these comments. I have a quadro K5000 in this computer, it’s fun for a while until it becomes slow and obsolete like every other piece of computer hardware, if you read jealousy into any of my posts, you better look in the mirror.

          4. The sony 70-200 is on the table in front of him, so instead of showing it off, he should have used that lens. A long lens is much better at showing the micro vibrations the system is suppose to take get rid off. Moving the camera around at 24mm is a pointless for a system that is suppose to reduce vibration because you can’t really do micro vibrations unless you got Parkinson’s. Why I would be jealous of a lens I own, I dunno?!?

          5. I’ll ignore the verbal diarrhoea and to somewhat answer your question, the reader doesn’t know whether you own or do not own a lens or multiple lenses. I perceived your comment as jealous rage mostly because it’s so personal and insulting for seemingly no reason, others might as well. Perhaps if you had of said “I believe the 70-200 lens is a better lens to test camera shake, perhaps try this?” people wouldn’t perceive your comments in such a manner. Personally I’m not interested in the 70-200 and I’m glad he tested the focal length he did. The difference is very apparent

          6. Great, you write what you like, I write what you like, problem solved. Any emotions you read into anything online are your own. “I perceived your comment as jealous rage ” uh hu, and what does that tell us about you?

          7. I think you’re bad at expressing yourself.

“what does that tell us about you?”

I interpret your statements in the same way as another person interpreted them

          8. That is sweet bob, you keep trying, so far you are te only one who said ‘jealous rage’. Maybe you should try to bait others commenting on how stupid the test was while I go sleep. Good luck, and don’t worry, one day you will be a real boy.

          9. So envy is the same as a jealous rage according to you? I’m afraid that DOES say a lot about you.

          10. “why you’re insulting the camera” typical 16 year old trying to sound like a grownup. The guys crap test is not better then nothing it is a waste of time.

    2. Like someone pointed out above. Two cameras mounted side-by-side and shot simultaneously is the only way to test the IBIS.

    1. Because it will still be the same size as it was before magnification. The full frame is available by using the jog wheel/button so any part of the frame can be viewed at the magnified level.

  2. Still not seen a good demonstration to date. You need two cameras mounted side-by-side and shot TOGETHER at the same time to demonstrate the IBIS feature. Otherwise its simple a waste of time.

  3. No one asked the most important question about this A7II formware 1.10 upgrade.
Will NON-Sony lenses now enjoy the 5-axis image stabilization, or they are still being stablized with 3-axis only ??
