It’s so sad, that we don’t have any rumors about upcoming A7Rii. Andrea any chance we will hear something till the end of June?
Contrast detect only unless sent back to Zeiss, is that still the case?
Little slow on this one, these lenses have been at this price level for at least a month if not more. Supposedly sales haven’t been great, and I can understand why. The 12mm is barely any sharper than the Sony 10-18 F4 at 12mm, little bit of extra resolution in the extreme corners and that’s it. The 32mm is at least noticeably better than the Sony 35mm OSS, but 2X as good? No. At the new price it makes a much stronger case for itself, especially with the firmware update. What I’m curious about is how the FE28 compares to the Touit 32 on the A6000 and A6100. According to DXO, they are very close.
It’s a shame though that Sony still has an ultra wide problem, especially on APS-C. The Touit 12mm is handily beaten by the Rokinon 12mm F2, and the 10-18 is simply not sharp enough for what it costs. The equivalent Samsung ultra wide zoom is WAY better.
Samyang 14mm 2.8 is a killer lens for 300$. If you dont mind manual focus. Sharper than all mentioned.
Must be because E-Mount APS-C Is dead too like A-Mount, Right FE Hipsters?
Why would anyone want to get stuck with $a pricy APS-C lens when there will be a A5007ff round the corner?
