  1. Wait!? Someone list a used camera on eBay with a buy now price of $179 and it’s considered into market pricing? If I sell one for $50 will you post it too?

    1. Although it is a used camera, it is a manufacturer refurbished. There is a big difference between buying from some one you have no idea about vs buying it from a company.
      Just saying!

  2. that refurbished or “store open box” its just cr@p that any penny they get from that sh@t its good because they are selling garbage
i tried and a6000 that was sold at 20% price, yeah, it wont correct focus at any range with any lense, but was a steal, lol

    last december i could buy qx10 at $50, rx100 at $85, a58 w/2lenses at $250, a7 w/lense at $550 and most lenses were at 20% price (no kidding! means 80% discount)
until today most accesories are still 70% off
as always you get what you pay for
STAY AWAY OF NO BRAND NEW PRODUCTS unless you want to make money buying that garbage and uploading it on ebay as “fairly” used

  3. This is a crazy good, does anybody have one and comment about how it is for filming? (I already know about its terrible EVF and screen, but curious about if there are any other issues? Overheating? Image quality? Max recording length?)

    1. Images are pretty good, A77 quality with a few less megapixels and a little better ISO. Works very well with manual lenses and you have plenty of control, aperture on lens, ISO on four way pad and exposure comp on four way pad. Can also program a button for zoom focus. For auto-focus native lenses it is so-so, slow focus, lots of menu diving. The EVF is really bad, but it is good enough to frame and you can see the focus peaking and well enough zoomed to focus. All other Sony interchangeable lens cameras are better but none are cheaper.

      1. Thanks! Though none of that really answers my question of how is it for filming 😛 I’m an oddity, I don’t care about stills….

This A3000 would just be as an unmanned C cam on a tripod when shooting live set ups with multi cam set up.

Anyway, I’ve taken the risk, and ordered one! 😀

        1. the a3000 video is in line with the sony nex5 / 6 and nex7 video which is pretty decent all those are better then the a77 and other A mount which have mushy video imo, other low priced sony cameras that are even better is the a5100 and a6000 which have less moire.

  4. good sensor but bulshit workround, bad bad mionitor, low codec and all SONY does
not to give you a FS-100 inanother body. But if you wait, this one goes down to 129,-$
SONY does not learn it and will not! Okay. If you are an technican you would first cabel an
hdmi-port, spill up the codec ( play in the coamdline of first Sony fs-700) put adapzer on it and
work with a Prime lense, find a way for extern Monitor… this is able… :=)

  5. I placed my order using the link. For only $179.99 I could not pass this opportunity to buy my first and hopefully, last E-Mount camera. I bought it so I could play with a drawer full of old Konica lenses that have been sitting unused for decades. I used the link provided to place my order in hopes of supporting this site. I’m not expecting much. I just want the pleasure of using my old Hexanon 57mm f/1.2 again. (and a few others)

    1. It just arrived. I’m charging the battery. This thing was definitely NOT new! I can tell by the way it was packaged in bubble wrap and not much else. I was a little disappointed to learn that there in nothing to plug into the wall to charge it. It must be charged via the USB cord. It could take almost five hours to charge it!

I already have my Konica lens on it. I discovered that there was no rear lens cap for the little zoom that came with it. I dropped it in a zip lock bag.
