DSLRMagazine (via PR) unveiled on twitter that today Hasselblad will announce the new medium format mirrorless camera with “rounded shape“. They say it’s a “luxuruy NEX” 🙂
Damn, I can’t wait to get my hands on that digital Mamiya 7…that would be my dream camera! Oh, wait…how much will it cost? 🙁
One more news: Fuji X PRO 1 owners can now doanload the new 2.0 firmware at http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/x/xpro1/index.html!

downloading now, super slow. Hopefully this makes the camera usable for more than landscapes and still life.
Yep, still terrible.
Only noticeable improvement is there is less evf lockup during focusing. Only a little when you first press the shutter, but then during focus adjustment the screen isn’t frozen.
Hasselblad H5D has already been announced.
It is essentially the same as H4D with tweaks to the autofocus, an slightly modified body shape. This must be the camera that is to be revealed today.
I dont believe Hasselblad can pull off launching an entirely new mirror-less medium format platform. The effort will be too much for such a small company. And, HB will face the same dilemma as mirrorless in the APS-C world.
Either keep the mount, and not really gain the benefit of removing the mirror (like Pentax K-01).
Or design a new mount with a shorter flange distance, to potentially make a much smaller camera. But that means having to design a whole new range of lenses (impossible for HB).
Shooting arm length a medium format camera will surely be an interresting experience 🙂
The new Hassy is a luxury versión of Sony NEX cameras, with APS-C sensor, by Sony and compatible with NEX E mount…. dissapointing…
A square sensor 42MP using the image circle available from the A mount lens. Around 30×30 sensor. That’s what I’m expecting since a long time !

Try not to laugh. I dare you !
Mirrorless medium format ? Sorry no.
Digital X-pan ? No not that either.
A camera that makes Pentax K-01 look sensibly well-designed ? yes !!
There is more.
The price is said to be 6000 USD.
Meaning it will be same as Leica M-E.
Which one would you chose ?
