Prophoto-online.de (Click here to download the pdf) published the full analysis of the Digital Camera market in Germany. As you can easily see from the graph posted on top the Mirrorless camera sales (“Systemkameras”) are incresing while the classic DSLR sales of 2012 are on par with the sales in 2011. Still, mirrorless has “only” 15% of the interchangeable camera market.

(Whoever made that graph certainly didnt make the proportions of the bars match the numbers.)
Very interesting read. You should all read it closely.
Mirrorless marketshare according to the pdf:
In 2010=8%, 2011=12%, 2012=15.5%
So mirrorless gains approx 4% marketshare per year at the moment.
According to the pdf, compact cameras are declining steadily (not surprising).
Smartphones are booming enormously.
Camcorders are dying fast.
Lenses are growing steadily (for all the mirrorless cameras I guess !).
Very interesting read. Apart from graph design, as Jesper said, the definition of a smartphone is dubious as well. There were smartphones with cameras before 2007. I bought one in 2006 – Palm Treo.
This is really interesting. Looks like mirrorless is not eating the market share of DSLRs, and rather creating its own share.
@Michael
….erm if it wasn’t for Mirrorless, DSLR sales would be growing
