Probably a Karl Lagerfield Limited edition, which nobody would care about cept followers of Karl
New kind of products? Must be the Leica phone! 24Mp camera, excellent lens, 33600 bps modem, wired for any landline in the world, rotary dial. Comes with a cute leather suitcase.
It could actually be a Leica version of the Panasonic CM1 … with a nice design that could be interesting. However doubt many people would give up their iPhones for that one!
But perhaps a FF camera with Fixed lens that borrows its design and UI from the Leica T … that would be a new major product.
Yet another lens mount?
I was suggesting Rx1 competitor, but with some Leica style and class. The Leica T is a really nice looking camera, but the lenses are large, so a fixed collapsing lens would make for a very nice compact FF camera.
That at least would be a new major product … but IMO Leica has bigger problems from the Zeiss/Sony combination. Its now possible to get a good FF camera with MF or AF lens for less than the one year depreciation of a M240 body. So reacting to that might be an idea …
