Hmmm. Something looks odd, but I’m very tired, could some one with better eyes and more experience tell me if these images are lacking micro contrast? Compared to the 35 for instance.
That’s probably Picasa to blame, very very bad compression. Meaning you cant judge anything fine or micro from these images.
Better look at Fuji’s samples instead for that:

Thanks, yes probably Picasa. However the Fuji samples still seem a bit hmmm. Oh well, time will tell.

Looks good, the bokeh seems pretty nice. I noticed a lot of your shots are F9 or higher, was it necessary to stop down that much to get good sharpness from the corners?

$450 for this? Compare this to the very excellent Panasonic 20mm (40mm equiv.) f/1.7 pancake for m43 at $350-400.
