We talked about the comeback of Meyer-Optik Görlitz back in February. Then, back in May, an official press release said here, that the TRIOPLAN 100mmF2.8 will be available in December for €1400.
Well, there was apparantly a delay, since Meyer-Optik Görlitz now says here, that shipping will start in February and it will cost €1400, but just at the beginning. Then the price will then go up to €1500.

my prediction is that next fall this lens will cost 800-900 €
Can’t see where the high price is justified.
FYI. Look at the JC Penny or Sears 135 2.8 if you want quite similar rendering. My copy is damn sharp wide open, and makes the same crappy OOF. I picked up my copy for $23 including shipping.
I don’t get how they justify the price when you can still buy the original for a fraction of it…
Well this is the same company that is rebranding available Mitakon(or some other chinese) lenses and 2-3 x upping their price. For those reasons alone I would never buy anything from this company.
