New Lightroom 6 release date leaks: sales start 21 of April for €129!

[UPDATE: Article Removed]

First off: the grain of salt is mandatory! We have seen stores announcing Lightroom 6 for the 9th of March here, then others on March 25 here and, for a short time, BestBuy accepted pre-orders on it here.

Well, this time we have another leaked release date coming from a Dutch store called cameratools. According to their website, the sales of Lightroom 6 will start on April 21 and it will cost €129 (confirming the price shared by FNAC in mid February).

Adobe… I’d appreaciate a little present for my birthday and desire an Iridient alike X-Trans support 😉

  1. We accurately predicted LR would NOT be released on the 25th in your post about that rumor and we can accurately predict this info is indeed true. LR will be released April 21 at least in some markets.

          1. So your only reason for being here is to say “nyah, nyah. We were right and you were wrong!” Very mature and really, no one gives a shit that YouShootFuji if you have nothing relative to say about shooting Fuji. Grow up.

          2. What a come back….”I know you are, but what am I.” Another example of maturity. And laughing out loud. Really?

          1. So Jeremy you think we need to justify why we care about LR???????? As if a person who shoots Fuji couldn’t ever use LR? You’re pretty funny. And no we’re not interested in being a source – we were just playing around but in this case we happen to know this new date is correct. Have a nice day.

          2. I’m just saying it really sounds like you’re trying to establish yourself as a non-anoymous source, which would be fine by the way! It would just be better if you answered the question honestly instead of replying with more silly questions. If you said “I just love Lightroom!” or “I’m excited about being right” those would be fine answers 🙂

I hope you’re right about the date because I just love lightroom! 😛

          3. Jeremy reread the comment – no desire to establish anything – just having fun and not sure why you think it’s your place to tell people how to respond.

The question was moronic so we played along. And the date is certain. Believe it – don’t believe it. When it comes true you can enjoy (or not enjoy) LR because apparently if you shoot Fuji you cannot POSSIBLY care about LR.

    1. This “we were right and you were not” feels like bad form. I remembered your original post without the reminder. That said, I enjoy your site and encourage others to check it out.

    1. +1 Apparently there’s a special performance problem with OSX 10.10 and LR, which is the only setup I’ve used since I’m new, so hoping they can fix it with LR 6!

    1. No rumors have mentioned any changes to Fuji support, so it’s pure speculation that X-Trans could have better support. I doubt there will be, but I’m excited about the features that have been leaked/rumored (GPU acceleration, panorama stitch and HDR merge).

  2. Can this finally be the rumor that pans out? So many specific dates have already passed and I’m tired of getting worked up for nothing 😛

The question still remains why LR 6 isn’t up on the Adobe Labs site where past versions went before release.

  3. Or course I would appreciate improved Fuji RAW conversion but if all version 6 does is resolve the glacial pace at which the current version operates I will upgrade.
