We’re not in the rumor business like you guys are – and you are the best when it comes to Fuji rumors – but we have a previously reliable source that says the Adobe product release is pushed to April. We note that the March 25th date (the day you are reporting) is five days later than original reports so maybe they found a happy medium.
I wonder if they’ll push it to CC subscribers early?
Says Retail, and that’s no infinite monthly price i should hope.
No the discount will be $1.50 a month for CC. $8.50 a month vs. $10.
Let’s hope for great X-Trans raw support finally, but I haven’t heard any indication of this
Can it tether xt1 without plugin? And any news if capture 1 can tether to Fuji any time soon? Don’t really want to fork out money for a tethering program that looks outdated.
We’ll wait and see, after all the hoopla the last rumor made…I’d prefer to just wait for Adobe to say somethiing
Is this a Fuji product?
This website does not sell Lightroom 5. Therefore it seems highly unlikely that they will sell Lightroom 6. A way to generate page visits and site traffic, nothing more.
Why is it important for us? Does it have some new Fuji plugin?
On a related note, I have been using the new Fuji converter (Rev. 2.0) and it is truly excellent …. we have changed the workflow: shooting only RAF, then using the converter to develop …. the only difference with in camera is substantially larger jpeg files, and I have not tested whether it is because it retains more details.
Mixed feelings about Lightroom, I’ve had LR 1 through 5, used to love it, but since working with Fuji’s X Trans and LR’s inferior interpretation, I’m not wanting to fork out more $$$. I still hang onto LR because of the workflow, familiarity… I’ve tried Iridient Developer, clearly does better, but for me it’s clunky. Photo ninja even clunkier. So what is LR6 have for me as an X-trans user? They’ve said in the past so many times, “working with Fuji” to improve RAW processing. If they aren’t going to improve their processing of X-trans it will be a waste of money I think.
Admin, have you heard ANY rumors that LR6 will be any better for X-trans users?
There is nothing in the pre-release literature for Lightroom 6 that mentions Fuji X-trans conversions. But it’s not likely that a matter like that would be included in pre-release materials anyway, so it doesn’t necessarily mean much either way.
I know, which is why I asked Patrick if he had heard anything. If not, it kind of baffling that he would give LR6 free advertising.
We can virtually guarantee you that this release has been pushed to April. If that proves true do we get a “SRP” designation? 🙂
