Fuji’s Pro Rental Service we talked about earlier here is now effective.
You can rent any Fuji X gear for 3 or 7 days. The latest gear will be available 2 months after the market release date. The pricing for the service is now available and varies depending on the lens/camera you are going to rent. Check the price list for the lenses and the one for the cameras here.
Discounted rates will be applied to X-shooters, whose X-gear is send in for repair and need a replacement for uninterrupted workflow.

At first glance it appears more expensive than alternatives like borrowlenses.com
Yeah, that’s one highly competitive market stateside. I’d rather rent from lensrentals.com… And that 2 months “waiting period” equals “shooting themselves in the foot”.
More expensive than the existing lens/camera rental companies, two month waiting period, confusing user experience (do I call them and give them my phone number and address?). I’ll pass.
Speaking of repair service in general. I refused to take in for repair in the official service center because it is the machine does not the service book (bought on Ebay). In short he did five minutes 🙂
I wish this was possible in the Netherlands…
No flashes for rent, oh wait…
Sign up for Lens Rental’s Free shipping program ($80 for the year) and you can rent Fuji gear for cheaper and for an extra day longer. I swear by them – love it! LensRentals.com
Another vote for lensrentals.com. Roger is great, as is everyone I’ve dealt with there.
I’ve rented from Lensrentals.com a whole lot and have found their service stellar. I started comparing the Fuji pro rental service to them and initially, the cost of an XE2 was twice as high at Lensrentals.com. I went back 5 minutes later and it had fallen to a few dollars LESS than Fuji’s rental price. They’re obviously watching closely. They have great customer service. Highly recommended. But I was hoping for a real bargain from Fuji 🙂
Interesting that the rate for the Pro1 is higher than the T1. I wouldn’t have thought even Fuji themselves would sincerely believe the outdated Pro1 to be more valuable than the newer-and-superior-in-every-aspect T1.
Hope to see something like this in Canada this year. : )
