  1. If I had to make a top 3 in the aps-c mirrorles field I’d put x-t1 and a6000, tie at first place (the x-t1 is better, but costs 50% more), followed by x-e2.

  2. If only sony had lenses like the fuji system. 50% is a lot. The 50mm 35mm and 24mm are not bad at all but I really wish sony had some better options compared to fuji.

    1. True. Consider that sony a6000 also has 50% more mega pixel in the sensor and seemingly faster caf.

Anyway those two cameras are head to head, and x-e2 for me follows very near. All the other aps-c mirrorles cameras are much behind.

  3. Fuji X-T1 certainly a beautiful camera and so many dials/manual controls – and price not crazy.
The a6000 also looks good although not the same retro styling –
Both have good things to offer – Fuji of course has a pretty good selection of lenses although nothing compared to M43 – Sony has no Fast Zooms like 24-70mm F2.8 or 70-200mm F2.8 which is such a standard lenses –
Fuji does not have a 70-200mm F2.8 either – as the key with APS-C is lenses are fairly large – all we have to do is just look at the lens selection that exists to day for Nikon, Canon, Pentax and Sony in APS-C mounts –
I think the FE mount Sony 70-200mm F4.0 is just crazy large and heavy for the A7/r – as it is such a small body – and it is not even a F2.8. Even the kit lens is huge for the A7/r – the rumor is that Sony will not be producing any F2.8 zooms for the E-mount and FE mount – That puts Fuji at an advantage as they do have some F2.8 zooms alt ought not 70-200mm F2.8.
So besides lens size and weight issue with APS-C for fast zooms – the other issue to me is that there is no
In-Body Stabilization in either cameras and all the nice primes from Fuji and Sony/Zeiss do not have IS – so
one looses a stop in many cases.
I think what Olympus and now Panasonic with their GX7 is the best way to go – IBIS – to get the most out of
the Primes – Panasonic now also has the 42.5mm F1.2 that has IS – I just think that IBIS is the best way to go as that will make the lenses cheaper to make and less weight – why repeat IS if already in-body.
Also neither the X-T1 or a6000 have Touch LCD or Touch To Focus –
Sony is pricing the a6000 at a nice price point so I think one is getting a better deal VS the Fuji X-T1 –
and Sony has finally changed the menu system which was well overdue and added a bit more manual controls – But I still think the a6000 lacks manual controls – I think body might have been a tad larger to fit more manual controls – (taller primarily) –
If one is for the retro styling and manual controls and does not want to get the Olympus OMD-10 or 5 then the Fuji X-T1 is the choice – a better lens selection but not cheep and no IS in the Primes –
If one cares less for looks or retro styling then the a6000 is a great choice – yes with the new super fast AF and nice video etc. and quite a bit cheaper but still a great image sensor and with all the auto functions for those who are not so much into manual controls – decent lens selection –
It is something to be said about the Fuji colors and low light performance – or more maybe the nicer grain structure – yes it is nice to have 24MP for cropping and landscape details but I still think that Fuji will be better in the low light performance with 16MP – but not a major difference –
I am still hoping that Sony will come out with a replacement for the NEX7 and more lenses –

    1. Very fair point. I agree. For sure sony and fuji both offer great aps-c mirrorless and are more and more a challenge for dslr. Probably, as you said, ibis is the killer feature that makes em1 and gx7 two winners
