Yesterday Gariz also posted pics of its A7ii half case on Facebook. Unlike this Chinese model, tripod mount is off the center, though.
TBH, these cases look about as cool and useful as those black vinyl hood bras on cars in the 80’s. They look uncomfortable, they look a bit tacky, and you’re only really protecting the camera for the guy that eventually buys it from you (unless you’re lucky enough to drop it 2 feet straight off the ground and have it land on the bottom (?) and not bounce).

Also, who wants to draw attention to their camera? I’ve seen many pros black out the brand and the logos– and this is the perfect camera to do that with since it is smaller than most expensive cameras. Unless you never travel out of a white suburban bubble, advertising that you have $3K (plus) equipment around your neck isn’t a brainy thing to do.
The reason pros and non fan boys put black tape over the manufactures name is to prevent fan boys from approaching and asking dumb questions.

Not any weirder than NEX becoming more popular only after stealing Alpha name, Alpha menu, Alpha stabilization, Alpha grip style… I’m sure your wish for bigger will be answered sooner or later. Or just get an a99 now and call it a day. Consider the larger grip, longer battery life, full articulating screen, and no wobbles lens mount a free bonus.

I can shoot with my beloved 35mm sharp, i can shoot the subject and i can composite extension to that 🙂 Yes…i lose some detail on the subject, who cares? who wants every wrinkle, and age is like vintage 🙂 Just add the subject as composite to the stitched longer lens shots and super shallow beyond subject depth and around context shot separately and cumulatively and with patience with a well paid model..end cough* now do i get my pay now?

Nikon D750 is awesome! As a Nikon shooter myself I look at the camera in awe compared ot my D7000.
But it still has a mirror, still behind the times. I am so eager to sell my D7000 + Lenses and switch to what I hope will be a fantastic Sony A7000 when it comes out. I brought my wife the A6000 and it’s brilliant, quality is excellent, plus when you just shove a small lens on it, so easy to carry about with no weight concerns.
to be honest, these shots look more like beeing shot with a 2010 smartphone. Sure you didn’t waste money, troll?

Do I need to audit my artistic taste?
D750 for sure is a very great DSLR, capable of producing outstanding images, but the shots above (except the last one) are for my tase far below average in several disciplines.
These pics have the sensor issue Nikon is fixing, right? Either way, the brilliance does indeed shine through. People here should be conducting more regular audits of their artistic taste.

Its not the sensor but the AF sensor reflecting. Canon 6d, 5d3 have it too, so does 810d but not that strong. Saw some tests. Google it. Its interesting.

The bamboo plate is ugly but has some functional value (pinky rest and balance). Leather cases are mostly for image IMO, but do prevent scratches I suppose. Some people dig it; some don’t. But let them be, I say. There’re worse crimes.

Actually no! This particular half case is pretty good I had the brown version with my A7 when I had one. Adds additional grip with larger lenses convenient battery door and is metal reinforced base. Cheaper than the Gariz version as well.
