How about Japan? What’s going on, Sony Japan? Here no announcement has been made yet.
Even Zeiss Batis: no price or release date information yet.
I just wonder why.
yeah, I would like to know prices in Japan/China as well… who knows, perhaps the differense to EU-craziness is worth a nice holiday in Asia. But obviosly they get only Hasselblads there… is there some connection with shopping tourism prevention?
Product page from Sony Germany is down…
3500€? That’s like 4000$! I think I’ll pass… That’s one of the craiziest conversions I’ve ever seen
Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland V8. Double, really double, the price if you want to buy in in Switzerland rather than the US. Same car, same specs, twice the price.
3500 € in Italy… Daaaaamn Sony
I am hoping for first half of July for earliest preorders in US.
But I realize chances are Extremely low.
3499 euros are 3950 dollars… It costs $3,198 in the U.S (B&W, about 2.850 euros)…We are talking about 650 euros (730 dollars) of difference. Half the price of a good lens…
US prices are without tax
And in Eu we are the Kings of Taxes.
Do you know in Italy they introduced a ‘storage tax’? The more the storage space, the more the Government takes over the product price.
£2,599 in the UK. That’s over $4,100!!!! Not going to happen.
I think this is mostly down to import duties and VAT so let’s not blame Sony.
3.699,00 € in Portugal!!!!!
Same here in Switzerland. Ridiculous.
Yeah, Portugal is a rich country…
Sony has too much self esteem.
RX10II costs 1600€ – you can buy a FZ1000 plus a spare FZ1000 as a backup from Amazon – and you still save 160€ compared to the RX10II.
RX10II costs more than twice as much as FZ1000. Thats too ambitious from Sony.
Cheaper would be fine.
I don‘t
need 4k I don’t even need video. I would like a photo camera without
video-functions. Why doesn’t Sony sell this camera for 700-800 bugs less
without video and let enable this function via upgrade? I think this would be
fine (for me)…
Same here!
I wish a “A3” / “A5” whatever Sony camera only for still pictures at low price possible… only need to be E-mount full-frame!
AF could be slow and lower fps, does not matter…
A low cost full-frame with great image quality is what I wish.
i won’t go for 3500 euros, i’ll wait a few month and try to get a refurbished or somethin…
I think 200 € less within 6 month, and after one year it will drop below 3k€.
Thx Andrea. I’ve ordered one using your link 🙂
(Germany, with financing on a 2 years period lol). OMG.A.S!
and btw…delivery is july 28-29
WOW ! Twice the price of their current flagship SLT…is it worth it anymore ? Not for me !
ridiculous prices compared to US.
Should be way less! RX10 should be 1349!!!
And I know this was the normal conversion price for US->EU why SONY! why!!!!!
Also judging by the name the RX10II is supposed to be the sucessor of the RX10. So they should appear to the same target group.
Now the introduction price has hiked more than 300€ – 25%. I wonder if anyone in the target group got a 25% salary raise this year. Lets not even start talking about the additional 100€ for the poor portugese…
RX10: 800€ (Amazon)
FZ1000: 720€ (Amazon)
RX10II: 1600€
Nuff said
Sony probably not making more profit in Europe. Just ridiculously high tax (vat) u guys pay.
Only one flagship SLT- you have three full frame choices with FE…and prices keep falling.
How about some side-by-side video with the A7S, across a representative sample of ISOs?
(Somebody wake up that fish-smoking guy, and have at it on the beach.)
If you can live with a Japanese only menu.
The overseas models with English menu are priced the same than in US.
well, isn’t it easy to change via firmware? there must be some language-files to download, aren’t they?
having originally thought it was good value, I have to say, in spite of the amazing specs this is a massive price jump almost £1k more than the A7R at launch. Simply cannot justify that price especially as the reviews aren’t out yet. Frustrating as it is, sit on hands time and invest in glass instead…
I like the new features, the but price is really hard to swallow. I’ll need tons of focusing speed tests under various conditions and with various lenses and lens types before I would be able to commit to that. So far everything’s been pretty short lenses and pretty small distance changes, and not all of them have been great.
It is simply an attempt to refund R&D cost. On all three – RX100IV, RX10II and A7RII.
When the A7R was released the sensor R&D was paid for a big part by the D800 buyers.
The higher the sales will exceed the estimates the earlier the price will drop.
So in the end it is as usual with Sony – early adopters will pay much too much.
That’s life.
In the UK:
£2958 for A7Rii + FE 28mm (currently on offer)
£2900 for Leica Q with 28mm Summilux
I know, not really comparable, but……
In Hong Kong, RX100m4 available to pick up on June 30. RX10m2 at the end of July and no news regarding the A7rII.
Here in Japan, no news not even about RX100m4 and RX10m2…
Converting the US price and adding VAT shows there is a 7% premium for the privilege of buying an A7Rii in the UK. It’s time that companies like Sony stopped treating the UK as ‘treasure island’.
What’s the cost in HK for A7r II?
