Prime time crew has intercepted an email from a local camera shop regarding training on three new digital slr’s. At least one of these is a pellicle mirror camera. Numerous people within the company have seen and handled it. The training starts on Tuesday August 31. The email also says that the new cameras will be introduced on August 22nd (but we from SonyAlphaRumors do not know if that is a public event or just a private introduction for dealers).
Thanks Primetimecrew!

good stuff, things are slowly coming together.
Its like I’m waiting for xmas all over again.
Can’t wait either! 🙂
Where is this a950?! DOES feel like I’m waiting for xmas all over again!
@Evan
I’m with you… All these ‘possible’ annoucements are exciting but I’m really wanting the next big Flagship from Sony. The A950 or A1000 would be awesome. I know they can do it, its just a question of *if* they will.
Come on Sony!
Its like hearing news reports when I was a kid, of reindeer being tracked by NORAD on the 24th 🙂
Where is firmware for a900 :/ ?
Firmware is probably not going to happen. After you buy a Sony product you either like it or upgrade to a better model. Sony doesnt look back…
A950 and A1000 I see it happening, but not during this NEX-revolution we are in. Also with a new camera system (A55) about to be announced Sony wont put too many goodies in our face.
I still can’t imagine how Sony would implement video and LV with a pentaprism. Don’t think A9xx will be ready until late next year. The A7xx will definitely show how things will come with A9xx. Hope Sony engineer can prove me wrong.
any (new) rumors about NEX-7? Announcement or release on photokina?
no NEX-7 at Photokina!
