Sony Japan (Click here) released a new Android application for the NEX-7. The text is in japanese and as usual google translation tool isn’t really helping me out. I guess it’s a sort of NEX-7 guide. I hope our japanese readers can explain us a bit more. Thanks!

according to my crappy japanese language level, the title said:
“Using AR(Augmented Reality), a new way to enjoy the Sony catalogue”
basically one can download an android app and interact with the AR marker on the catalogue, I guess this is just some fancy stuff
BTW, there is the download link for the catalogue in pdf format at the bottom left of the page, looks like a monthly edition
The ad is about the Apps to scan the 2D Qcode will bring you to the Sony Catalog!

No, but I could not resist selling the first one in order to get the one I will keep for free. I was willing to wait a couple of months for that to happen.
I ordered the body-only on Dec 23, 2011 and it still says estimated ship date 04/03/2011. 🙁
Given that the quote you pulled from The Online Photographer uses the word “potentially” twice, it sounds more like worship than objectivity on first reading.

Is the Nex-7 in stock in the Berlin store? I’m wondering as I have placed my preorder there but haven’t got a phone call that mine would be ready for pick-up.
We’ve just been to the Sony Store in Berlin. Yesterday, 10 Nex-7 were immediately sold to the public. 10 more are to be distributed to those who have placed their preorders in August/September.
