Gary is a bozo. He keeps calling it 45 megapixels. He doesn’t even know the top specs.
I guess he knows, but this number 45 has settled somehow in his mind during video recording. Maybe because he was talking about 45″ print size.
But bottom line, there is really nothing new in this review. We all got tons of reports about A7Rii specs, already.
I want someone to test something new. E.g. a Tamron-EFmount Lens with Metabones vs Comlite adapter vs same type Tamron-Amount lens with LAEA3 vs LAEA4 adapter – testing AF -speed.
Also AF test with long focal lengths, 400-600mm, using LA-EA3 and Metabones would be nice.
I will test that as soon as mine arrives, and I charge the batteries.
Yeah Gary regularly messes up technical specs and abbreviations etc. Dunno what’s up with that.
its not available in amazon uk by the way. that link referes to a third party seler
no doubt a wonderful photographic tool. my own honest view is that the majority of people should stick with what they already own and invest in photography courses, travel and seeing great art. this will lead to a greater improvement in composition as well as the appreciation of color and light. doing this will make you a better photographer and your images more beautiful and representative of your own expressive creativity. the improvement will be more than you will see moving from a 36MP to a 42MP sensor with even wider dynamic range. master what you have invest in skill.
‘kay, thanks.
And from A7 to A7RII? 🙂
You are right, but on the other hand: I love those tests from users much more than gary, marc or scientific tests that will follow. And it’s great to see some kind of comunity growing out of this release.
In this context check out my experience from the 5dsr to medium format. I hope to be able to add some a7rii files too: http://www.valentino-photography.com/comparison-medium-format-hasselblad-vs-canon-5dsr/
Based on his technical explaination of this camera he really knows very little about the camera or how it works.
“UK readers can grab the A7rII right now at Amazon UK”.
That’s a bit misleading. Only available through a third-party marketplace seller based in France.
I domned the dng files from Adobe, and reworked them, at a normal size of 8 to 12 mpix in size, the shots look in nothing better than what my elder cameras do. So on the end, in exception of better high ISO performance and better shots on the billboard, i do not see myself a reason to change over to it. Now, I await what the new A7000 will bring us in innovations. I definitely prefer the APSC sized sensor.
That’s one bad hat, Gary.
Also not a good idea to wear a gray t-shirt on a gray background, would make one suspect his eye / aesthetic. The sound is horrible and unprofessional, at least try to make it interesting and engaging to watch or hire someone who can.
Do you think perhaps Gary needs a makeover? I reckon a newsboy hat in white leather with some matching chaps.
He says a lot of wrong specs. Gary wrong not Fong. ops Wong!
He’s always good for a chuckle or two
Beautiful lady and wonderful background. But dose annoying hairs… gahoo!
Nice rhytm!
