A99 rumors from other websites are crap :)

A lot of people sent me links to a rumor posted by a website I don’t want to mention here. Since months that website is copying our rumors and rewriting them just a little bit to get some attention. And of course they do it without mention us as the sources. I am not going to link to that website. One of their fake rumors is based on our fullframe camera rumor I posted here: http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sr4-sounds-like-we-will-see-two-new-fullframe-cameras-in-2012/

They added one single fake info which makes you people going mad 🙂 They said the A99 will be announced in September. That’s WRONG! That website is famous for copying and than faking rumors. The next FF cameras will come next year.

P.S.: Now you know why I am always writing that boring “SonyAlphaRumors.com” script on images I do leak here!

  1. But fortunately it doesn’t take too long to figure out your site is solid (I love your rumour ratings), and some sites are garbage.

  2. Yep, it’s not just the rumor that’s crap. That other website is crap too. I wouldn’t read it anyway.
Keep up the good work Andrea! We believe in you!

    1. Well, since they didn’t announce it last year it is pretty sure they won’t this year as the D4/D400 duo will come September and there isn’t much “room” for the D800. Everybody was expecting at least a D700s last year, strange that Nikon didn’t make the move.

      1. Yes very funny, he didn`t even try to make it trustworthy.

The biggest joke ist the “sensor made by: Nikon”, Nikon does`t have one single chip farm an now the will produce 3 different sensors for the next year?

  3. I look in here twice a day. It’s the only place to be for information on Sony’s future releases. Keep up the good work.

  4. This is the place to go to follow and/or to better understand Sony’s direction in the still photographic area.

For me, it helps me plan for the tools I need or want, and to help me decide if I need to jump ship if the tools I need aren’t forthcoming.

No other website has this focus and no other site is worth following for this information.

Thank you and keep up the good work!

  5. Don’t demean yourself by even mentioning the other site – let the reputation of your site stand you out from the rest – if you start knocking other sites you just get yourself into a slanging-match in public.

    1. +1

SAR is really standing on it’s own.

The only sites I check daily are Facebook, some Swedish news sites and SAR. Keep up the good work, admin!

    2. +1
I know it’s as if someone’s taking credit for your work, but this is not the first time and we’ve known it.
So at least know that we give you the credit.
I already lost trust in other rumor sites. Hopefully SAR stays strong in its reputation.

  6. Sony, sort it out. Never mind re-releasing perfectly good cameras, get them right in the first place so you don’t need to release them every year. The NEX, A33 and A35 haven’t been out a year, but they are getting re-done. WHY? Sort out the lack of lenses first, we’ve got hardly ANY to choose from. The A700 is in desperate need of a re-do, the Pentax K5, Canon 60D and Nikon D7000 blow it away. I hope the A77 doesn’t suck, if it does, (or if Sony don’t release better/ more glass options) I’ll be jumping ship to a better manufacturer.
