What about AF? FPS? Battery life?
The only thing I’m worried about is that it has a much lower phase detect autofocus point than the A7rII, 169 vs 399. Does that mean it’s autofocusing speed and accuracy will be lower than the A7rII? Does that also affect the autofocusing ability of adapted lens too?

The a7sii 169 AF points is Contrast Detection, so accuracy should still be very good but won’t be able to track as fast, especially in AF-C mode.
It worries me that even the a7rii, while supposedly great at af in photo mode, is by some accounts not so great at af in video mode. If the a7s ii has much more primitive af then how bad is the video going to be. The two Sony examples of racked af seemed to take forever from focusing on foreground to focusing on background.
Well that makes me glad I bit the bullet on an A7II. 3k is too rich for my blood. If it was 16mp with some other killer app I might have felt jealous but the A7II makes me pretty happy for now. I see now that the S is really video featured.
