Canadian readers can finally preorder the A7 kit directly at Sony Canada (Click here). One small thing I forgot to mention is that US readers can earn Sony Rewards Points at Sony store on both, the A7r (Click here) and A7 (Click here). You can use these points to purchase stuff here: http://www.sonyrewards.com/en/home/welcome
And US readers can enjoy daily Black Friday deals on all larger online stores. Just click on the banner to see what great deals you can find today (on Sony and non Sony stuff). By using these links to purchase products you will support SAR! Thanks!

Sony Germany allready delivered the A7 🙂
Hmm, if Canada has an expected ship date of 26 Nov, perhaps they will ship in the US then too or maybe on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
I am in Canada and my A7 and 35mm preorder from henerys.com shipped today. Should have tomorrow.
funny…I had the a7r in my online cart 2 days ago from sony canada that was expected to ship on the 24th, but no FE lens was available. I emailed them to find out if a lens was available and now no a7r is available on their site.
Did anyone actually get a voucher for a free metabones or la-ea4 adapter with the body only option like they said they were going to on the Sony Australia rumours?
Canadian’s sales tax is crazy..
?? What is so crazy about it. I pay 5% GST only living in the Yukon. Not too crazy for me.
not for Montrealers!
According to posters on the DPR forums WEX in the UK and Henry’s in Canada (and some other dealers in those locations) are already shipping some of the cameras and lenses. Meanwhile no one in the US has heard a peep. According to commenter “Dave” on the “plenty of stock” posted here on SAR on Tuesday evening, today he “just called Sony Store NYC and their projected stock dates for the A7 and A7r are December 1, they will not sell anytime before.” On the DPR forums a rep from B&H said the system is showing no stock of any of the products, but that original SAR post said the confirmation came from insiders at B&H and Amazon.
Starting to wonder if (for the first time, I think) Sony has set an artificial street date of 12/1 for this equipment like they do with videogame, movie and music releases. 🙁
I should have ordered it through sony’s website if it wasn’t so expensive compared to Amazon… No I’ll have to wait for at least 2 weeks, grrrrrr
Has anyone heard if the RX10 is in stock in the US and will ship on time?
No guarantee it’ll actually ship then–I ordered an NEX-7 when they first came out and they said it was ‘In Stock.” Got it three months later.
Sony’s website went crazy yesterday. It showed both the a7 and a6r in stock but would crash when you tried to buy it… now it doesn’t even offer the a7r? Not sure what’s up with that.

Ordered my A7 on the second day it was announced here on SAR, an got it delivered two days ago! …and let me tell you it feels gooooood!;-)
Sony rocks!
It’s also a profound feeling that lately good things come first to us old world folks instead to the colonies, sorry guys new world order is here! ;-0
Sending out a big hello to all of my friends in Canada and the US. But the times they are a changing, someone with a real world german name once sang!;-)
Anyhow, camera feels great, kit lens might not be first choice but for the price will do me good until I saved up for a Zeiss! Nuff said…
Sony America is still listing 1 Dec 2013 as the release date in the USA 🙁
I pre-ordered mine from Future Shop 2 weeks ago in Canada.
I even got a 100$ off coupon on at the time. So I paid 1899 for the kit.
However, Shipping a little later according to them

Sony Canada is soooo messed up. First it took them about 2 weeks to even acknowledge the A7/r on their website. They have had preorders for both for a number of weeks now. However, occasionally they changed it to just a “Notify Me” option without preorder. And now they have totally removed the A7r from the website, when just yesterday you could preorder it and it said it would ship on Nov 24th (Sunday??).
Total unprofessional joke of a company.
Why is Sony being such a dick to US customers? I preordered my camera 30 seconds after it was announced and the rest of the world is all getting their cameras before me. Plus my A77 and flash had to be sent into service and they called me twice to tell me they just recievied it and it will be 7-10 days until the service is complete. Sony, you pretty much suck at this point!
I ordered mine from cameralandny.com and they’re telling me that it’ll start shipping in the last week of November. So, crossing fingers here.
A7r or on it’s way, I will have mine tomorrow in Norway 🙂 I ordered mine 5 minutes after the announcement. We have probably the highest sales tax in the world, I paid equal to $3031,79 (US).
There is a good deal in France, this week :
La Fnac gives you back 15€ per 100€ spent.
That means you get 210€ for the 1499.90€ A7 body (or 225€ if you buy something cheap to get to 1500€)
And you get 300€ for the 2099.90€ A7r body.

I was hesitating to wait some months before buying mine (because I still don’t know which one I prefer), but with this promotion, I will buy it this week. So all your reviews of A7 and A7r are very welcome to help me to choose !
The UK Sony website displays error -404 when trying to access the relevant A7r section,(and does the same when using the Sony store locator). It’s been doing this for a number of days. The Sony store in Kensington has no A7Rs or FE lenses and does not know when they will get any, and the Sony store in Central London has one A7r body and no FE lenses. Two of the main UK camera retailers, WEX and Park Cameras have A7r bodies but no lenses. I hadn’t realised that the great innovation shown with these new cameras extended to being able to take photographs without a lens.
