Let me know when its up for $50 so I can order one quickly 😉
Then get cancelled?
thrilling
No price drop 🙁
BTW – I have an a6000 on order from Costco.com this week that came bundled with the 18-55mm and 55-210mm lenses ($650+tax). I really want a f/1.8 lens, however (most likely the Sony 5018 b/c the 5518 Zeiss seems too expensive). Should I return the costco bundle and buy the body and 5018 separately (I know someone who works at Sony and can get me 25% off) or should I keep the costco bundle and buy the f/1.8 in addition? I’m a beginner (first pro-level camera) but I love bokeh, lol. Basically, is owning a kit lens really necessary for me / is owning only a prime lens a bad idea for a beginner?
What do you recommend? Thanks!
Without a lens which goes to WA (at least to 18), you will be limited, The Costco bundle seems like a good value (although 18-55 instead of usual 16-50), just buy 50/1.8 for portraits.
Bundle often sounds fishy 😉
I would advice you to think about the Sigma 60 f/2.8 too, because even if Dx0 said Sony SEL50F18 s the best prime lens for Sony A6000(it’s a very great lens anyway), there s still vignetting before f/2.8. Moreover other reviews wrote that Sigma 60mm is sharper than Sonly SEL50.
IMO Sony 55-210mm is rarelly useful ( i own it and for me 210 mm is too short range, you can’t portrait birds from neigboorhood in full screen) and not so bright. I also sold my 16-50 pancake( from 2014 bundle) to buy new bag and replace it with Zeiss 16-70mm ( still wait for the delivery) expecting better results on image from what i read on reviews and from MTF charts.
Well, now i can sleep like a baby…!
