A photographer on Reddit says the Nikon Z8 is preferred for sports and daylight, while D850/D780 bodies remain favored for low-light events and everyday assignments. So DSLR ain’t dead in his opinion and still have some unique strenghts!
The new Brightin Star 50mm f/2.0 Z tri-sight lens is now available for preorder at Amazon, Brightin Star, BHphoto. The lens features rotatable aperture blades with three distinct shapes, allowing photographers to create custom, shaped bokeh patterns (such as stars or hearts) on the fly without using external filters.

This APS-C Z-mount autofocus lens is coming soon!

We now have our first look at NiSi’s extraordinary 26mm f/0.7 lens for full-frame Nikon Z cameras. This manual-focus optic joins the legendary Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm f/0.7 among the fastest lenses ever designed for the full-frame format.
The Zeiss lens has a fascinating history. NASA originally commissioned it for the Apollo program in the 1960s, while filmmaker Stanley Kubrick later adapted several examples for use on a Mitchell BNC camera. Their remarkable light-gathering ability enabled him to film the famous candlelit interiors in *Barry Lyndon* with minimal artificial lighting.
NiSi’s new 26mm f/0.7 is expected to be offered exclusively in Nikon Z-mount, giving it the widest maximum aperture of any native lens currently made for the system. The lens reportedly weighs 2.9 kg, focuses as close as 0.35 m and carries a price of 198,000—approximately $29,500.
NiSi has not yet announced a shipping date or opened preorders. We’re especially curious to see how this remarkable lens performs in real-world conditions. Would you like to try it, and what would you photograph with an f/0.7 lens?
