Sony A9 mirrorless A-mount concept video.

The video on top shows a mirrorless Sony A-mount (yes A-mount and not E-mount) concept created by Chuljae Lee. Not sure it makes sense but it looks cool! 🙂

  1. This video is old.
And the idea is totally BS.
You need an adapter anyway – and you need Z-shift with a BIIIIIG way, to make the body really big – even when used with small E-mount lenses.

This is an idea from idiots made for idiots.

    1. ….the whole point is that it’s already a huge body because it needs to fit the translucent mirror used by A-mount.

And the advantage of a Z-shift lens is that it can be used to autofocus fully manual-focus lenses. That would be pretty fantastic if true.

Your words “idea from idiots made for idiots” show a tremendous lack of imagination.

      1. Maybe your imagination-sense didn’t notice, that a translucent mirror would block the sensor moving. And according to this video, the complete way of the sensor movement is made to adapt the lens mount. So the E-mount lens can only focus towards macro and the A mount towards infinity.
If you read my post-history, you will find some old “imagination” posts with Z-shift used for focusing manual lenses. But not this idiotic crap for changing lenses that needs an adapter anyways with over 30mm space in the body for shifting with AF.
As I said: “idea from idiots made for idiots”. Maybe you know one of them.

  2. This is realistic. And it will come true.
Will have a dslr form factor with accepting emount and focusing manual focus lenses.
