A few weeks ago the German Systemkamera Forum has conducted a readers’ review of the Samsung NX1: Nine forum members tested the Samsung top camera in all photographic fields. The result is a lot of praise and excitement, especially regarding speed and autofocus.
Some of the testers critized some aspects about the 4k video functionality, most of them already fixed with the last firmware update.
Although the test is in German the images speak for themself:

NX1 – size, weight and price of a budget FF DSLR.
Picture quality of APSC.
So where is the catch?
More like:
NX1 – size, weight, and price of a high end APS-C DSLR (ie, 7D2)
Picture quality of an *NX1*.
Catches: relatively small buffer, 4K is not in an ingestible codec (yet)
Benefits: 7D2 form factor but with 4K and a working viewfinder in video mode, trades blows with the 7D2 as the best APS-C body you can buy, company supports the body with firmware updates that add features to an already densely feature rich camera, 4K master files are absolutely tiny yet higher quality than 4K H.264 found in cameras like the GH4
Adobe premiere will add h.265 support over the weekend.
Find me a FF DSLR that is the same size and weight. Go on, do it.

This camera maust be a monumental sales flop, I have never seen so many desguised publicity in this site, so many updates in such a short time. There must be a catch allright and it has nothing to do with the specs…
Who knows if it’s a sales flop or not, that will depend on Samsung’s sales target for this camera, which no one would know except Samsung.
Good products don’t always equal sales success and likewise, sales success doesn’t always equal good products. It depends if you are looking at it from a business or consumer point of view.
Regardless if it meets Samsung’s sales target, it’s still a great camera.
