2 years since launch and it is starting to have sense. I bought J1 for my wife and I am impressed with AF and overall operation speed. The photos are very good for 1″ sensor.
I think it is time for bright standard zoom. Nikon come on, it’s not that hard with 1″ sensor.
Apart from small size, bright lenses should be advantage of the 1 system.
F1,2 would be F2,0 for APS
Nikon needs to introduce a large sensor (at least APS-H) mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses. It is shocking that there are only a few companies making interesting, groundbreaking cameras, such as Fuji and Sony (sigma if they made an interchangeable lens mirrorless camera). And, unfortunately, despite their efforts, Sony will likely mess up their full frame attempt by making it a NEX series with a lack of quality lenses. So, that does not leave many options below DSLR. M4/3 is too small and DSLRs are too big…give us some high-end mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses, because there isn’t really anything yet, aside from Leica…
I don’t think APS-H has any future. No one makes that sensor size any more. APS-C is plenty good enough, and you have full frame on the other side. There really isn’t much room for something in between.
YES thank you nikon, this is the lens i have waited for.
Great job ! I’ll love it.
