(Medium credibility rumor):

Fujirumors sources report that Sigma will no more launch any lens for the Fuji X-mount. Acording to FR Sigma motivated that decision with the following reason:
- Due the restricted market share, Sigma currently has no plans at all to release X-mount version of their lenses.
Well that would be very pit if true!

If the market share isn’t there, it makes sense really. Sigma’s a small (in comparison) company, and unlike the big manufacturers, already support a whole bunch of mounts and formats. Every mount and electronic interface has its own expenses, and each variation of the same lens multiples your number of inventory lines. And all of that costs money and slows down and complicates your production.
You are right of course, but it is also true that Fuji’s lens line-up doesn’t really stimulate Fuji users to look elsewhere as they have (probably) the best APS-C lens program, There is nothing that Sigma can offer to the Fuji user that a Fujinon can’t match.
Nikon and Canon both have far broader ranges of lenses than Fuji (as you’d expect from systems that have been around decades longer), yet that’s where most of Sigma’s sales are. If there’s space in Canon/Nikon’s lineup for Sigma lenses, there’s certainly space in Fuji’s. The only question is if that space is large enough.
Sony and m43 mirrorless systems have seen only a lukewarm investment from Sigma, so it’s no surprise that the even smaller players like Fuji and Samsung aren’t going to get any love.
To bad they (Sigma)
won’t make the Fuji mount…There is no comparison..(price wise)…The Sigma DX trio are very inexpensive compared to Fuji… 19mm…30mm…60mm…$200 or less for each….
