It’s quite a long time since I started to look for some macro extension tubes for my Samsung NX system. I couldn’t find anything but people should never give up their desires 🙂 I finally found some few weeks ago so I bought it immediately. Here I come with my test and some sample pictures.

You could have at least pasted the “Conclusion” here. We need something out of context to flame about. 😉
“I recommend to use both the 10mm and the 16mm tubes at once with the 30mm f2 lens”
I would have never even got to the idea of using a pancake lens as a macro!
The only (big) problem of the review is not testing the tubes with the a dedicated macro, even if adapted, and obviously Samsung’s own macro lens – 60mm.
Thanks for your suggestion but I think that that’s the point of macro extension tubes – using it with ordinary lenses (for example the 30mm pancake) to be able to shoot some macro. It’s a low cost solution for people who don’t want to spend much but want to try some macro.
I would like to test it with the 60mm macro lens as well but I don’t have this lens yet. And if I had it, I wouldn’t need these tubes 🙂
I own the 60mm macro and it’s a nice lens, both for macro work and for portraits (but the 85mm is better for the latter, of course).
It would be interesting to see how the 60mm compare to 30mm+ET in IQ and sharpness.
I think that 60mm would be better in both IQ and sharpness. But as we know 30mm is very sharp especially in the middle so sharpness is not bad when you use the macro tubes. The main problem is limited focusing distance when you use macro tubes or macro adapters. With 60mm you got full focusing range.
On a sidenote and a bit offtopic, it would be interesting to know if those tubes could be used on the nx mini in place of the original adaptor. That would save money!
Hi Lukas,
Thank you for your review.
I bought both Fotga tubes and use them on my 18-55 III which opened a new world for my NX300.
Yes, I am waiting for Spring to start popping up flowers.
I bookmarked your great Blog.
