Konica Minolta patented a new APS-C lens design for mirrorless system camera. And it’s going to be quite a hell of a lens if they keep those specs: 18-35mm f/2.0-2.8! Konica is known for selling lens designs to other manufacturers. For example their 14-42mm and 45mm lens patents have been sold to Panasonic.

Egami speculates this lens will be a Vario-Summicron-T, hence a lens in Leica T mount and not Sony E mount
Well, if they could do a version for micro four third like a 12-25mm F/2.0 this would renew interest to the m43 system lenses offer!
“Known for selling lens designs” is somehow inaccurate.
People at Konica-Minolta really know how to make lenses and this is their product. This is what they sell. Similarly, Sony buys designs from Zeiss and (possibly) Tamron.
“Known for …” sounds like if they were making designs primarily for themselves, but decide to share them.
wasnt konica-minolta under sony ?
in time tamron buy bronica ,sony k-m and sammy want pentax but jap dont sell to kor so
sammy buy only camera + some lenses from tokina/pentax
