I don’t know when exactly Fuji will announce the new X-E1 but in the meantime Fuji Korea (Click here) published the full X-E1 page. May some reader help us to translate the text? Thanks!

Site is almost entirely made from images! Is this common practice in Korea?
yes 🙁
Yes, it ensures that the Web pages can be viewed from all systems. Korean script is complicated to encode and to render. UUCode has simplified this, but still many installed systems do not have Korean script capability. I think it is now an automatic install in MacOS, but I’m not sure if that is the case in Windows. (Even cyrilic causes problems sometimes. I could see your name earlier, but now it has disappeared! Partly because I am using a Windows XP 2000 at work. 🙂 )
I suppose today is the day after all? No sign of that compact, though, maybe this page was published by “mistake”.
There isn’t much information from the sites anyways, at least nothing that isn’t known to us already. It mostly promotes their sensor technology, performance of high ISO and wide dynamic range of the camera.
shame no info or data sheet there yet, I tried to modify URLs to call _02 _03 but it all results in error pages, so for now only ‘features’ page is up. And that’s what puzzles me a bit, if the rumors about new EVF are true I’m sure they’d put it on the ‘features’ page 😉
Interesting – look like the sensor uses regular Bayer array, so it is not the same sensor as in X-Pro1?
Oh, wait, they probably just compare it to a regular Bayer array…
“X-E1 is equipped with sensor that is identical to the 16M X-TRANS high performance CMOS sensor of the flagship model X-PRO1. Boasting the industry-first irregular color filter arrangement, X-TRANS CMOS sensor has removed the need for optical low-pass filter and the moire phenomenon. Innovative pixel arrangement of the X-TRANS CMOS sensor achieves high resolution by receiving unfiltered light. FujiFilm’s exclusive irregular color filter arrangement is very effective for removing noise in high-sensitivity (high-ISO) photographs. Also, the large APS-C sensor’s another advantage is the ability to make beautiful “BOKEH” effect–exposure with shallow depth of field allows fantasy-like out-of-focus effect.”
Ohh, very very nice. I think I will pick this over NEX-6 just for the lens and sensor.
