    1. …that seems like a Panasonic, which looks like a Fuji, which is like a Olympus IS 1000 of 1990/something or any other bridge camera.

FINALLY. Somebody got the “vacation” cam almost(*) right.

(*) EVF is missing. But considering how bad it would have been anyway – due to the size constrains – probably not a big deal.

  2. So price is $1000 – so quite pricy as it does not have EVF in comparison with the Panasonic LX100 at $900 and Sony RX100m4 at $1000 roughly – the Canon continues with the Sony 1 inch back lit sensor –
I see this camera compete with the Panasonic FZ1000 – both with 1 inch sensor and similar focal range –
the FZ1000 is cheaper and does have EVF – but much larger and no Touch LCD and Touch Shutter –
I wonder how quick the lens stops down – if it goes to 200mm at F2.8 then it would be a killer – but I suspect
it stops down to much sooner or at 70mm – and that 200-600mm is at F5.6 –
Certainly a very versatile focal range – but in good light as it stops down quick –
I see this as a very practical camera and I know many of the Canon fans will get it – there are however other cameras like the Sony HX50v with similar focal range for $300 but of course smaller sensor but great IS –
but of course the Canon has Mic in and Headphone jack which is great –
I just think $1000 is a bit much – at $800 I would not hesitate – so I might have to wait awhile –
