100% Fair Trade – 100% Charity

Looking for a nice X-mas gift (for yourself or your friends)? Well then you might consider to grab one of the X-shirts.

The special X-mas X-shirts sale just started. Instead of $29,95 you can now purchase them for $14,99 (shipping included). Small, Medium and Large are still available here.

The offer expires on Dec. 31. – Shipping in USA only

The price is changed, but not the purpose of these X-shirts…. 100% of the profits from each sold T-shirt will go directly to KNGO, an NGO in Battambang (Cambodia), that gives access to free education to hundreds of kids. The T-shirts are made by eco-fair-trade fashion lable Tonlé in Cambodia.

$2,700 raised so far

At this point, I’d like express my deepest gratitude to those, who already supported KNGO with the purchase of the X-shirts. We have raised about $2,700 so far. This is a very important support for KNGO. They wrote me and expressed a huuuge thanks to me… which I redirect straight to you. I just had the idea, but you made this support become real. Thanks 🙂

So, if you want you can support the project, by buying an X-shirt. It could be a nice X-mas present, too.

Behind the X-shirts

  1. What do the symbols mean. The first row looks like “fuji camera love”. The second one like “I shoot fuji”. But what does the third row mean? I bought one shirt. I have the right to know it 😉

    1. Looks Great 🙂

It was too complicated to make the Tonlé T-shirts in different colors. These people go on the streets of Phnom Penh and buy (high quality) fabrics they find on markets (and mostly huge companies just through away). Even if I’d say “make green T-shirts”, they would have found green, but different tonalities.

The easiest way to get a consistent look for all T-shirts, was to choose a color, that is easy to find, in this case black. So the T-shirt you see in the image, is the one you’ll get.

That said… enjoy your X-shirt and thanks a lot 🙂

      1. Patrick, I’m in the EU too – does the purchase of an EU T-Shirt have any benefit to charity? I don’t really need another T (although it’s very nice) but if it has a charitable cause that’s a different story!

        1. As I wrote in the original article (linked also in this article):

“The X-shirts are available also in Europe & Worldwide via Spreadshirt, a popular online T-shirt printing platform. I’d like to cover all the production/shipping/design costs I’ve paid upfront with the earnings coming from the Spreadshirt sales… leaving all the US T-shirt incomings to KNGO.”

So my original plan was to try to cover the costs I paid upfront with the X-shirts sales in Europe, and once I start make profit in Europe, give all the profits to KNGO (so zero profits for me)

But things have changed since then. KNGO and Tonlé started discussing ways to cooperate. I offered my help, not only with ideas and suggestions, but I would also help them with the money from the spreadshirt sales… all the money… I really think the idea I had and shared with them is great, and I’d love to see it realized.
