Fujifilm just released a firmware update with support for Microsoft Windows 10 for the following X-series cameras. And even if don’t use Windows, please update anyway, because FR-reader Poul-Werner is right, when he writes on facebook:
X100T Firmware Update Ver.1.11
X100S / X100S Black Firmware Update Ver.1.21

Do I miss the X-T1 in the list?
The T1 already had it first!
OK thanks, so it;s save to migrate to W10 then?
Just use a cardreader?
Does anyone really save direct from camera???
I never do.
Could be a question for Rico to hold a poll on.
Yes.
That’s what it says, but I’m a Mac user so …
Safe for you camera… the rest…?
X100T. Why bother?! Unless you run Windows 10.
X-E1 ? (I don’t need this update but X-E1 should be on the list).
XE-1 is on the December list. Not sure why they would wait that long, but hey… I might upgrade mine just to bump up the download numbers.
Is this the update promise about a month ago?
I hope not.
Finally! Some X100s firmware upgrade 🙁
I’m curious how a problem like this develops. Did Microsoft mess up somewhere, or Fuji?
On the basis that this is a new system from Microsoft you’d have to say they did. On the other hand it is an upgrade so I’d say no one messed up it’s just a small change in protocols, which Fuji has addressed almost immediately.
So what’s coming for the X-M1 December 2015? Windows 10 Support? Blüargh! What about Wifi Remote Control?
and then this and ‘the long awaited update to the X100S … ridiculous. I do not know if cry or laugh. poor fuji
I hope that XE-1 will get intervalometer in bonus….
While it would be great, I don’t think there will be more for the XE-1 than the XPRO-1.
I have an issue with my new soft release button on my X-E2. It is being screwed out from a shutter button. I hope Fuji will fix it in FW 3.011.
It is nice from Fuji to address the MS Windows10 issue as quickly. Now, if some bug fixes drop into the release, it is a good point and the delay in the release date for some cameras explains it. No need to know the détails of the upgrade, being a Software developper myself, often the bug fixes comments are just relevant for the team developping the product. Beside, Fujifilm has no plan to reveal the architecture of the firmware, this is not Android based, after all.
Let’s be open minded, le us take the upgrade. I’ve done it on the X20 and the XE2, the cameras are still very nice to use, as they were yesterday.
As for the features, what I have is all right, for more I can buy a newer model.
Thank you Fuji for keeping the products on tracks.
My guess is, that Fuji film will see the lowest download rate of any of their previous firmware updates with this update. This update is just plain boring. I believe the Kaizen hype has more to do with Fuji film saving money building new hardware by upgrading e.g. the x-T1 with software, so that it can stay in the market longer. That’s why only the x100 has seen any significant firmware upgrades. The camera was simply not good enough upon release. The S and T models being ignored unless firmware updates can make them compatible with new accesories that Fuji film can sell.
After updating the X20, I can tell there are some minor tweaks, détails of operation, for instance a better auto white balance in my eye, Nothing of a revolution, though. At least for that camera, it is an interesting update IMHO. Go for it, it takes 30s to install.YMMV, of course 🙂
I like both my X20 and my XE2, what could I add?
Hey, what about the focus improvements like we saw on the X-T1?
