  1. Ummm…regarding that $50 off the XQ1 at Amazon and B&H. Amazon shows list at $499 and is now selling it at $449. B&H shows list at $549 and is selling it at $499. What gives???

    1. strange, indeed… I can be wrong, but I think that BH had the same price as Amazon earlier today, with Adorama selling it still for $499. But now also BH is selling for $499. Well, go and get it on AmazonUS if you waited for the XQ1.

      1. FWIW, I spoke with a sales associate at B&H and they agreed to sell me the camera at $449. Either they saw their MSRP was wrong, or they hate losing orders to Amazon. 🙂

  2. Confusion or pandemonium at AmazonUS regarding camera inventory and shipping dates?

Here’s possibly a way to jump ahead in the purchase line at AmazonUS. Cancel an outstanding order and they’ll say “Sorry…can’t do” and ship you the merchandise ASAP. 😉

I placed an order for the X-E2 back in the middle of October. Didn’t hear from them until this last Friday. Amazon sent me an email (11/8) saying I wouldn’t see my camera order until December 27-30, 2013. Since it would be a far longer than expected wait AND given the recent rumors of a new Fuji X camera in the works (between the two upper models), I decided to cancel my order that same day.

Bingo…within a few hours, I received a follow-up email saying “Good news! New estimated arrival date: November 14, 2013 – November 19, 2013.” :/ On 11/9, they did write saying I could refuse the package or return it. Decisions, decisions! 🙂

  3. Are there any more details regarding the upcoming weather-sealed MILC, an X-Pro 2, or what lenses are going to be on the 2014 lens roadmap?

    1. I should have a skype chat with sources in the next days. I’m pretty confident that I can post some updates in the next days. According to rumors already posted on FR there should be a constant 2.8 zoom lens, telephoto primes… I’ll see what I can dig up for you.

    1. They use the same sensor…the X-E2 is better with respect to specs, but I doubt there is any difference in image quality. I am hoping they use a different sensor with the upcoming weather-sealed MILC, as it would be smart to show some improvements in the sensor, even if they use the X-Trans colour filter (don’t recycle the same sensor for five consecutive cameras.

    2. I think that the X-E2 at high ISO values, the NR is too high (such as X100S Journal). In such images the skin looks really bad. In this regard, the X-E1 seems to be much better. X100S and hopefully the X-E2 is allowed to update that changes the NR level.
