for Europeans remain the alternative to purchase from gray market like ValueBasket, etc. and worry if government wont ask them/us later to pay the VAT

Beware though, it is very likely a gray market version. Nothing wrong with it, per se, but fujifilm won’t handle a warranty issue. FWIW, I have dealt with 6Ave before, and they were very professional and delivered what they promised.
They offer the standard 1 year warranty. Thats written on their site
I don’t think it is a Fujifilm warranty, however. i believe it is through the seller. Gray market is really the only way you legally get a new X100S at this price.
2% of orders from this eBayer in the last 6 months have received less than good feedback, with multiple comments saying a grey market or used camera was sent despite being advertised as new. I’d be exceptionally leery of ordering from such a seller.

ah, one of those fat bags that fit 10 cameras instead of just one… this kind of freebies work against the vendor. I’d rather pay a little more and get the stuff I actually use. still a good deal, if you want the camera alone.
