Time for a Change?
The news is out: the Fujifilm X-T6 has been delayed.
We explained the reasons here.
Some fellow X Shooters, such as here, wondered if that means the whole Fujikina in Paris has been canceled. So I clarify quickly: Fujikina in Paris will still take place, but there won’t be an X-T6 announcement ahead of it.
With that said, I’d like to ask you something.
You see, I have first told you about the Fujifilm X-T6 September announcement about 7 months ago, in January 2026. Then, in the first half of July, almost two months before the scheduled announcement, I confirmed the September rumor.
Of course, sharing rumors this far in advance comes with a risk: Fujifilm can change its plans, and rumors that were accurate at the time of sharing can suddenly become incorrect later on.
In fact, when I do the yearly rumor accuracy checks, the main reason why I always get very close to 100% accuracy—but never quite reach 100%—is precisely because I share long-term rumors.
And there is only one way to completely avoid this: never share long-term rumors and only publish them one or two weeks before an announcement.
If you want, I can do that. I can change my approach to rumors. This way, you would never get any unexpected surprises like with the Fujifilm X-T6 announcement date.
But if you are happy with how things work now, and you understand that some details can change over time, then simply let me know by voting in the survey below.
What I can guarantee in any case is that nothing that goes online is made up or fake. As you requested back in 2018 – the survey is below too – I will always make some checks and make sure that what goes online is something I trust could be also true.
So, now it’s your turn. Feel free to drop your vote below.
