If you pre-ordered a Fujifilm X30, then you can already start to study and read the manual. Download it here.
For Rico’s Fujifilm X30 first look click here (German). Check out also his updated flick X30 images here (over 200 shots now).

Still not sure if need camera or not. Fuji must sell enough X20 to feel X30 upgrade needed. Manual however doesn’t really reveal much new that already haven’t seen in forums or rumor sites.
X10 and X20 are both out of stock at most camera retailers here in Germany. There is a very limited number left at amazon.
I am sure it will be easier to sell the X30 now with the WIFI capability, which is more and more standard for high-end compacts.
Patrik, X30 has “critically improved JPEG engine”, has Fujifilm also improved in on X-100T? If so, any detalis if JPEG smearing/smoothing was reduced as many X-100 users asked for it?
And… groundhog day!
Rather … Fuji fanboy’s blind year!
I’d hope so
My initial impressions of the full manual (not the Basic Operations manual) is that it is a pretty half-fast execution of a PDF file that was rendered from the web pages.
Unfortunately, it appears the Fujifilm was not able to make the functional online links work in the PDF document. All 273 pages are numbered at the bottom, but the PDF Table of Contents doesn’t show any page numbers. Online the TOC links to each section, but the PDF version is just a listing of contents. You can open up the Bookmarks on your computer — Fujifilm did manage to link those — but if you want to print out the manual, you’ll have to manually make pen/ink changes to the TOC, since Fujifilm locked the PDF to prevent editing.
The Basic Operations manual appears to be a PDF derived from the paper edition — like we’ve come to expect.
It’s amazing how much uglier the X30 is over the X20. Very unusual.
That should please you greatly! Aren’t you against cameras that look good?
does it say made in japan on the x30 camera? I know the x100T is made in japan. what about the x30?
Any idea if Fuji is going to update their Fujifilm app that has the manuals (and other stuff) on it? That’s saved me a couple of times when I ran into trouble with a X100S quirk like flash and silent mode. Needs most of the 2nd gen cameras.
