Fujifilm X-Pro2: black Vs. graphite Silver :: Drop your Vote! – POLL

frontSince Fujifilm reads FujiRumors (and your comments), loves our Polls and even uses them in official Fujifilm Press Conferences, I thought it would be great to let you vote the Black Vs. Graphite Silver X-Pro2 poll… something tells me that Fujifilm will be pretty interested in the results of this poll 😉 .

P.S.: Hello Kitty X-Pro2 version needed 😉

  1. Graphite is like the grey Leica M9. Doesn’t fit silver lenses nor black lenses perfectly. Make it X100-silver… X-T1GS looks hideous with silver lenses. Whats the point of having these then?

  2. Regarding materials I would like something like the matte-titanium of the limited edition Olympus E-M5 MkII (that’s a gorgeous camera).
But since it’s highly improbable this could happen, a graphite version will do 🙂

      1. Just kidding, don’t take it to serious. But for sure my brother does have more sense for fashion than me 😀
Being always political correct is too boring….

        1. Upps, I’ve just realized that my X100T is silver. So at least I can tell my wife that finally I do have a female side…. well hidden ??
All other Xs are of course black ?

    1. That looks really good!
I would mind to pay a bit more for a special edition like this.
If Fuji doesn’t announce something like this on January 15th, please send them this mockup so they can see how good their camera could look like.

  3. although voted for GS, I am actually in favor of Silver… GS looks nice by its own only… it wont match either black or silver lenses. black would be easier to touch up…. also more likely to scratch.

  4. I kinda was sure that xpro2 will surface soon when Fuji announced the XF35 F2 WR glass. The compact cone shape of it is ideal for rangefinder cameras as it does not block the sight of the lower-right side of the frame when you look through the OVF.

  5. How much sens does it make to buy this camera for $1800 if the sensor is from the a6000, a camera that is priced at $399. Yeah, xpro will have more features and a hybrid viewfinder but doe those additional specs justify the $1800 price tag? I can’t find any rationale behind this purchase. In my view this camera should not be priced higher than $1299.

          1. Of course it’s going to be $1700+. It’s the “pro” line, the flagship model. Pricing it below would pretty much de-value the whole system.

Clearly Fuji thinks they have unique advantages which justify the price — handling, design, rangfinder looks, great lens lineup, color reproduction…

It remains to be seen whetever massmarket now, in 2016, will find those advantages worth the price. But pricing it low would be a suicide.

    1. How do you know that it is going to be the sensor from the a6000? It quite possibly will be. However, all of this bitching before we even know? Seems pointless to me.

      1. I am making claims based on the “rumors” presented by this website. There has been talk about the a6000 sensor for many months now.

    2. I am not sure X-Pro2 will be able to do 11 fps with AF as a6000 can do. And a tunnel viewfinder was present on $100 point and shoots long time ago, it is not a very expensive feature.
I am pretty certain Fuji will price itself out of mass market again and Sony with the next axxxx will eat all the cake by itself, AGAIN.

    3. Damn right!
Even 1299 is too much, I think Fuji will set up approximatively 1700.
Ad the basic 35mm F2 lens and you’ll get an estimated SRP round 2100.
Today the street price of a full frame Nikon Df is very similar.

    4. Sony will never get close to a fuji experience. Regardless how much tech they throw into a body. But i agree fuji will need to price this carefully

  6. I’d like to have this X-Pro2 with…

a more sensitive sensor with perfect iso between 100 to 25600
a very decent dynamic range, around 14IL
a perfect RAW implementation (let us please forget all of the 16MP conversion issues)
a far more accurate OVF than in the X-Pro1
the same colour tuning as present in the X-Pro1 (the X-T1 is a bit different, less pleasing)`
Finally, reliable software code behind the flash control
less power consumption, better battery life.

That would really be core values convince me to buy this camera. For the rest, black is perfect – an ‘hello kitty’ outfit would again discourage me to buy it 😉 .

      1. Indeed. And my immediate conclusion is – strange that so many people on this forum only seem to care about details in the look of camera, but not about the true technical competences & features? How many of them are interested in serious photography?

          1. Yes, I think so.

I like my old X100 very much, it has a lot of flaws, but in good light makes (almost) perfect pictures. What I don’t like is the 35mm lens, for me is the 50 mil the right one.
What I dislike is the X-trans sensor. I will newer buy a Fuji if they stick on it. It has no justification, I think the only reason to have such sensors is to differentiate Fuji from other manufacturers and seems that this brings a lot of problems in sensor acquisition.. Maybe Nikon Df II. with simplified control and operation is the way to go.

          2. To be honest, I’m shooting with both Fuji and Nikon (FX & roll film), have in the past also been working with other brands like Canon. What keeps me to Fuji is the excellent glass and the fact they get absolutely the closest to a real ‘film’ kind of feeling in color setting/rendering (but unfortunately I’m quite sure it’s the ‘imperfect’ X-trans causing it). With a Bayer-CFA Fuji would just be another Sony clone. But I understand the frustration of pixel peepers – I’m not convinced that in a new 24MP-era, the X-trans-concept as we know it today is enabling a bright future for the X-series. But maybe we don’t know all secrets yet – precisely here lies more interesting info to catch than the fuzz about black or graphite silver editions.

  7. So this conversation thread is about body color/finish…
Silver is indeed friendlier, disarming. I’ve witnessed this with my X100/s
Black is more discreet, while non-reflective when photographing through a window…also of great value on occasion.

Anything else is fashion…which is not to say that all options aren’t equally ‘Pro’…it just depends on your profession.

With a 20+mp sensor, I might have to have one of each.

  8. Jan 15th announcement. My local camerashop thinks it will hit the shelves in april. But i think theybare only guessing like everyone else.
