Fujifilm X-A2 to be announced tomorrow, too (anonymous source)

 photo asd_zpsd57ece3e.jpg

Not only the XQ2, but also the Fujifilm X-A2 (with new 16-50 lens) could be announced tomorrow. Although the rumor comes from a 100% anonymous source, I can well imagine that Fujifilm will announce both cameras together. (btw, thanks for sharing)

There will be a live blogging here on FR. I don’t know the time, but usually Fujiflm announces new gear around midnight New York time (6 AM in Paris).

  1. still 16mp or finally going to 24mp? also the new 16-50 is I assume retractable to compete with likes of A6000 and m43 crowd?

      1. Yeah, x-trans is way overrated. I’d take a sharp bayer sensor over x-trans any day. Sony lacks lenses, hence my interest in fuji.

        1. Me too. X-Trans is most marketing. High iso X-Trans images taken in mixed or tungsten light is one the worst on the sensor market with ugly pink cast on faces. X-A1 Bayer is amazing up to 6400iso, simply great.

  2. Nice looking cam. Too bad you left the shutter speed dial off it Fuji. I wont go for it. No shutter speed dial…no deal. Fuji the day you stop putting on a shutter speed dial on your flagship cams is the day I dump Fuji.

That is my complaint for M43 cams. No shutter speed dial. M43’s can produce some nice work. I used M43 Oly’s for a year testing them extensively under almost every type of condition.

    Shot with 12mp Oly M43

The problem with M43 is no manual controls. I hate shooting with M43’s because they are so hard to adjust on the fly.

Fuji you keep making cams for the cameras fondlers. OK, fondlers keep you in biz, but once in a while make something for the pro doc photog and not just the fondlers.

Fuji make a Leica FF knockoff for $2500 and a 18mp M43 with a shutter speed dial.
